Do you honestly believe that your perspective is the only valuable one that exists? (...)

No, but you apparently think so about yours. Sorry if you are hurt more than Queso, but well... i don't care, there are too many self conscious people out there.

First you know nothing about what i do. Just because i don't post unfinished works on Batoto (and probably i will never do) doesn't mean i don't draw anything and have nothing with comics (sorry, you missed big with this one).

Second, comparing this work to webcomics (C&H especially) is laughable. I read at least dozen of Naver stories, and  tried even more but NONE (YES NONE) of them was as badly drawn as this. BTW C&H is better drawn (even old stories) and it's very specific kind of comic.

Third, you didn't give ANY useful advice to Queso, did you? SO who is better? Bunch of "it's ok, don't worry" people or those who give some comments?

Last, the "if you can't do better you can't criticize it" argument is really funny. Let's use it in kitchen for example, you can't cook better so you can't say it's bad. Hell, why do we give stars to manga?! You won't be able to draw better than 80% of mangakas. Why rate anything at all? It's one of the dumbest things you see on the internet.

@Queso Caliente: Drawing is not your only problem. You should also learn typesetting. It's irritating when you see boubles which are smaller than text. You don't need much time to learn this small thing (i mean correctly putting text in boubles not typesetting as such).

Thank you all for giving this comic a chance. Even if you hated it, think I'm a disgrace to manga artists everywhere or degrading batoto as a whole. I didn't intend for this to be a manga styled comic or to offend anyone. I think everyone can see the improvement from cp1 from cp23(that's a joke). Yes I should have developed my skills before posting but I am a student who works and does many sports and simply don't have the time. Sorry. But what I plan to do is get better and better with every release so by the time chapter ten rolls around, maybe it will be at jr. High level. You all rock. Hasta luego.

Do you honestly believe that your perspective is the only valuable one that exists? Do you believe rude comments have any meaning here? And you claim you're attempting to help, but at what point have you offered Queso Caliente any constructive criticism? You haven't. You have belittled their efforts, and offered nothing but snide comments for no other reason than you don't like it. Batoto is not going to be ruined by anyone — except for elitists who shoot down anyone who has the "gall" to not fit into their small-mindedness. I'm sorry that your senses have been blemished by something that you dislike, guess what . . . this is the internet, and there are a lot more disturbing things out there than this.

Further, to claim that every other manga, manwha, manhua, webtoon, and comic are amazingly and beautifully crafted is a farce. Have you read any of the Sunday comics in the paper, have you read every Webtoon on Naver or Daum? Look at Cyanide and Happiness, Devil's Panties, and Hyperbole and a Half? Not to mention many comics in the three main Asian markets. Your argument is flawed, and your efforts to "improve" Queso Caliente's work come across as a bully picking on someone because he wants to feel better about himself. Get off your high horse.

Not all artisans start out with Michelangelo's talent, and if you believe that you can do better than what you see in Library of Life . . . then put up, or shut up. Seriously, post your very own comic, and let's also see how well you can provide constructive criticism to those who do not meet up to your standards. If you are unwilling to take that risk yourself, then you are nothing but a bully and a coward.

This story has some potential, but it needs to look nicer. A LOT nicer. Sure, you draw the characters in 2-D because they are supposed to be paper. However, the characters don't pop out of the crudely drawn background. If the background had more depth, than the characters would be more noticeable and be purposefully out of place. Because they are paper people, which I assume is the point. Nonetheless, this comic needs work. A lot of work.

Racky (and other disparaging commenters), I do not believe you have any clue as to what Batoto was founded for based on your ignorant statements. I was part of the original crew that helped Batoto get its start. Grumpy intended this to be a place where manga, manhua, and manhwa were shared to the masses, and provide a place for novice storytellers to get a start with their endeavors. Your words are needless and unwanted here. If you see a comic that you do not like, then do not read it. Move on. Do not be a dick, because that ruins the atmosphere that Batoto was created with.

People like you are one of the reasons deviantart sucks. IT'S NOT THAT I WANT HIM TO STOP DRAWING. I want him to improve before giving us his story. Those drawings are not at the "novice" level, they are at gradeschooler level (hell, i've seen better ones). All those "it's ok", "take small steps", "what a nice drawings", "they are not so bad", are wrong. If something is wrong, speak it.
Also if you could at least BOTHER to read what i wrote you would see that i came here because i found description interesting. There is nothing wrong with complaing about quality of the comic. Especially when you know that author will read it. If he didn't want to know what others think about it, he wouldn't post it here.
BTW: i don't care what you think about my comments, and if you call me a dick. If Queso will improve his drawing (and the terrible typesetting) i will gladly give this story 5 stars.

People on Batoto might have come to expect a certain level of quality, but I see nothing wrong with using Batoto as a testing ground for the author. Taking baby steps, making mistakes, learning, and improving... Everybody has to start somewhere. Who knows, maybe the author will end up making webcomics as good as Knights Run! Good luck!

dont be disheartened by those quite rude comments, i saw quite some mangas / comics which started with horrible drawing but improved a lot on the way and thus giving birth to an interesting read :)

Name at least two REAL mangas that had drawings similar to this one.

What Queso doing is wrong in more than one way.

Spoiler

BTW Queso what you said is mathematicaly incorect :P

Interesting concept, i will await further releases, and yeah, you might want to fix the size of the drawings, my i7 says it hurts.

Well, first off, thank all of you for even clicking here. It means a lot to me. I'm glad to hear my title is good, haha. I will go ahead and take difference's advice but will continue to post here as well, (I have 7 followers i have to appease). My main goal for writing/drawing is to just have people enjoy a story, hopefully my story. All the technical problems I'm slowly starting to figure out and fix like the type setting and big files. the drawing/coloring... well i like to try new things, some work, others don't. The characters i meant to be extremely simplistic(If that's what you dislike about it... I don't know what to do about that) but wanted to focus more on expressions, funny what you can do with eyebrows (don't ask how people made of paper have eyebrows). So i thank all of you, even those who hate it. I have 7 people who do, so mathematically that's infinitely* more people that used to, haha. Hasta luego.

*That may or may not be mathematically correct.

there is a site called line webtoons for original stories, post there win money. Though this probably wont win anything. Half the reason manga is good is because of the art. A picture speaks 1000 words, which means you can take place of the story with the art you use, and have it conveyed really well to the reader.

There might be a 3rd hidden way to have horrible art and a really good story told with only a few lines. Though I'm not sure how it's possible.

@Alad, yes it's goddamn 8094 × 11447.

Queso, if you're not autistic, please withdraw and learn how to draw. You'll figure out the DPI problem in a few years if you don't suck.

Is it drawn in Paint?! It's terrible. There is deviant-art so i don't understand why people post here their own "stories" which are worse than some kids doodles.

I know that i'm terrible person but drawn by the title i was hoping that it would be something intresting but then... BANG shitty drawings, bad colouring, no typesetting and gigantic files. Why do you even need such high dpi for this thing.

Disappointed! Well turns out i drew it all in 600 dpi and well... the chapter size is freaking massive and when converted to say 72 dpi you can't even make out my already vague characters. so I'm off to handy dandy youtube and if that doesn't work out... well crap. If any of you guys know how to fix it easy(without me redrawing fricken everything) i will be very happy and cry tears of joy in your name.

Oh my... I thought I'd give it a try (reading it as-is *and* your request), but my browser's tab crashes just trying to open the chapter. What. That's gotta be some *massive* images.

Queso here. Sorry for the delayed release. this is my first time trying to post something and I'm having some slight problems with it. :(
