This is pretty interesting. I've only read a little, but I was reminded of an article called "One-Eyed Gods and One-Armed Gods". This article was about the movie "True Grit", and how its characters seem to follow certain mythology concerning the price that ancient gods paid for the power to fulfill their roles. It will be fun to see how that plays out in this story.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you hear that there's a sequel confirmed?

To anyone who has read the original novel: How many chapters of the original novel does the Steel Lady Nanase arc cover?

the manga already ended with 14 chapters (every one suuuper long, or more like a lot were like easilty two parts for a monthly series)

It has been Licensed By Kodansha Comics. The First volume has already been released in NA. The 2nd is slated for January 10th, 3rd for March 7th, 4th for May 9th, 5th for July 18th, and 6th for September 12th.
