Junji Ito's art is what makes this so scary. That face... I couldn't even look at the full page, it sent chills down my spine. Just what I wanted.

Ahaha, love how the guy hears footsteps on a mountain at night, and he doesn't think "oh, it's probably an animal" or "oh, maybe it's someone who got lost, or has been in an accident and needs help" but instead he goes straight to "IT MUST BE SOMETHING NOT OF THIS WORLD". Not Junji Ito's best, honestly. Incredibly realistic, in the sense that you can totally believe that a few dudes sitting around in a hiking cabin might talk about spooky things, and then nothing happens and they go home. Very realistic indeed.

Very boring.

Well, Itou never wrote your typical bloody gore, so some people think it's boring.
For me it's very "Itouish" manga.

I did not find this boring. Nothing spectacular, but the atmosphere was built well.

Very boring.
