Pretty good.
I was asking for the in-world explanation.
Of course I know what JKs represent in Japan : youth, spring of life, the awakening to sexuality, the lack of worries about the future, etc.
Also, Giant Robots.
But the reason of the outer appearance of these dimensional weapons, which The Prophet provides (?) is still unexplained in-world.
I'd say it's about Japan's (and men in general) idealization and sexualization of young girls. It's about failed masculinity that have really closed the options for a lot of men (regardless of what feminists claim lol), about self hatred and the projection of ones dreams unto an idealized innocence. I guess it's also a continuation of the ideas and questions in Ghost in the Shell about identity and essence. Obviously this on top of Matsumoto's love for young girls in sailor uniforms doing batshit crazy obscene stuff.
So this manga is basically Apocalypse Now?
