A huge mistake.
"I" is referring to the author, but the twintailed "girl" basically is him (since he's just drawing his daily doings, but with him as this girl). Also, chapter 3 is finally uploaded and awaiting approval.

does "I" refer to the author that convinced himself as twintailed girl, or does it refer to the twin tailed girl on the manga?

It's not a trap, he's clearly a male pervert who imagine himself as a twintailed girl, you can read it in the title of the manga mmm...
But yeah, as a reader, imagining the cute twintailed girl has balls is just disgusting mmm...
In the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar; "It's a trap!". On page 8 (Page 006 in the 4-koma) the character specifically calls attention to the fact that their balls left a mark on the chair.
I'm not much into traps or 4-komas, but it's cute enough to keep on the side to read when there's nothing else to read.
See, it's doubly relate-able because I also both find myself in these situations daily and am a cute twin-tailed girl. Wait, the author's not actually a cute twin-tailed girl? I'm not either? So, this manga is actually triply relate-able.
