Why does every crying face look like a hentai face, hory shit

I always imagined Meiya as blond. Like the rest of the cast.

Did they find this artist at a homeless shelter or buy him half off at a pawn shop of some kind?

We better hope they don't hire him for other manga, this is just sad.

People can't improve without experience, you know. And to be honest, I think art quality is less important than enjoying the story.

I agree it's pretty bad, though.

Of course, im not saying that they could replicate it at first try (though on some worlds some smithys reach ridiculous 3d print levels of accuracy if they have an original/blueprints) but i find strange that she tried for years to replicate it with no success(i think it was 2 years or so) when its obvious she had PLENTY of resources at her disposition.

Revolvers are pretty simple design wise compared with semiautomatic pistols or assault rifles and was the main reason he went for it as his first weapon created yet she was unable to replicate the revolver even ignoring the bullets issue (that could be impossible unless a chemist discover the gunpowder formula) despite having a perfectly functional and easy to dissamble/assemble original.

Another part of the problem is that Lute was doing shit with the liquid metal that no one had ever done before. Just to give you an idea:
Spoiler

A revolver is basically impossible to make without modern machine tools (not to mention metallurgy more advanced than the medieval type). You can seriously cool shit with a hammer and anvil but you won't get far making a barrel without proper hardened steel taps and milling machines etc not to mention the proper forging and annealing techniques. Even the (badly) made Afghani and Pakistani copies are stamped, milled etc.

The kinda bypass all the difficult stuff a smith would face by having this magical thought formed metal shortcut.

Remember that they were unable to even create an inferior copy. The earliest examples of what today is called a revolver were made in Germany in the late 16th century, so thats not a excuse unless the plot demands it.

I'm gonna be honest here, the art-style sucks.
And quite frankly, it ain't alone...

On the novel the ship travel part took an entire year, thats why Lute was pale skinned, long haired, and lost muscular mass enough to pass for a girl, not counting the time Lute spend as a buttler. It was long enough to replicate it yet according to Meiya (which is a genious of this world)a skilled dwarven smithy was unable to reproduce it on a example of plot induced stupidity since a revolver pieces are not too complex for someone skilled to make a functional even if of a worse quality than the original model

actually you could say she got the gun when lute was being sold as slave. also the ak47 she got it after lute alredy sail to their territory. ( via ship takes around 3 months) meiya has a airship wish takes 1 month to travel, thx to that last words i am sure they wont cut the part where she goes to reclaim snow weapon and get scolded XD. and go back and keep trying to make an ak47. after a month lute reach the place. and to not say spoilers i somehow want to see next development but since its a bit long i presume they will short cut it to around 3 manga chapters. since preparations in novel takes like 10 novel chapters XD

I don't think she actually spent that long trying to replicate it?  Considering it wasn't that huge a time gap between Lute being kidnapped and the present, and given that it probably took some time for the gun to end up in her possession, combined with low scientific understanding, and I could see her not figuring out how to replicate the gun in the time she's had it.

Welp, I don't know about that, It seems to me that if you're trying to create something entirely new without any previous knowledge of how this particular and complex item works nor any previous types of items similar to it. It's probably going to be hard to remake even if you do have a replica.

>throwing a loaded gun and nearly killing herself

Artist should have made the gun a Sig P320 kappa

seriously in certain way she its more devote to him than any of his girls. i still dont understand why havent accepted her as a partner yet ><

Dear Dragon Lady, I hope you realize that your imagination is far more dangerous than the shot which may kill you. x'D

>throwing a loaded gun and nearly killing herself

This is why I read this trainwreck. That and guns not actually being OP in this setting.

The irony here being that in the WN, he never even made a firearm while on the Demon Continent. IIRC, he NEVER made ANY shotgun in the ~92 chapters I've read, let alone a sawed-off shotgun. There's a lot of differences between the novel and the manga, and not for the better. WN was much better, if oddly worded when it came to firearm technical specifics. But the characterization and set-up were done so much better it's not even funny.

Spoiler

You do know that LN version usually has the original WN updated with extra scenes right?? getting the sawed-off shotgun is probably just something the author added to the official release as not to be too stale for the people that had read the web version already

The first time meiya introduced in WN, i always thought she is just a mad scientist with magic tool fetish, never i knew that she has beautiful face and georgeous body. Darn, that orz alone is the sexiest orz even exists in isekai manga

I just want the toilet to be invented *sob*

Though a dragon princess is always welcome.

Okay. ...This is strange. Is it just me, or does chap 19 show a sudden leap in quality?

Thanks for the update LIG and OT. Really appreciate it.

I still find this manga particularly fun to read.  No idea why since by all accounts it should be pretty bland.

I think currently the reason why it's started being fun again is the notion of characters in a "fantasy" setting learning about advanced technology and applying it to their world. A lot of isekai stories involve MCs being warped or reborn into a new world with a shitload of power, becoming heroes or some dumb shit, and getting all the girls. While some of that is true here, there's also the fact that the MC brings something new to the world.

The reason why an isekai like Mushoku Tensei is so good is specifically because the MC remains humble throughout the entire story, uses his past life to reflect on himself and become a better person, and creates relationships with many people to innovate and create new things. He ushers in an entirely new era and grows, and we like seeing that.

Well, it's good to finally know where his stolen guns ended up. That's been bugging me for a while, given the limited ammunition that the thieves wouldn't have been able to attain more of.

I still can't understand why this isn't getting axed.

Maybe the others feel same as me, Im bit addict of Gun and Some aspect of Firearms
I Still found this series to be fun.
Edit : At least this manga Not used common RPG Panel-Based, nor Use blessing(cheat-power) of the gods

Honestly i find kinda strange than on fantasy worlds which are usually populated with super high quality smithy races like the dwarves, are unable to reproduce even the simpliest of the fire weapons.

I can condede that reproduce the bullets might be difficult moreso if gunpowder is not discovered yet, but a simple revolver should be doable to replicate with a skilled smithy
