Hmmm there seems to be an error in how MC is wearing his plastron though: It's usually worn on the inside of the jacket and should therefore not be visible from outside. Although I suppose it's entirely possible it was meant to show his inexperience as subsequent pages show proper donning of equipment.
P.S. Ah my bad, just realised it's addressed in later chapters
I generally dislike sports manga; Combat sports are the exception, in my case. I rather liked Teppu (Women's MMA) and Kurogane (Kendo), and according to a comment earlier, this manga was written using advice from (a) pro Fencer(s). Looking forward to how it will turn out.
Some decent sports manga would be nice, these days its either fucking Keijo or fujioshi BL shipping.
It's quite nice that the French used is grammatically correct, for once. Usually, it's even worse than engrish.
Like this one which is one of the worst manga about fencing I ever started to read.
I have a hunch this manga is out because of the 2020 Olympics.
Be prepared to see more sports manga as they get closer.
As for the characters, the weak cowardly nerd becoming a fencing hero (and he'll probably get the girl) is a little bit too cliche.
Why did the teacher have to be a dwarf?
Finally, as a practitioner of this craft this make me happy there a new fencing manga
Interesting fact. An actual Fencing master was consulted in making this manga.
At least this one is less ridiculous than the previous fencing manga.

That's a good start. And it didn't butcher french grammar either... unlike most mangas with foreigners speaking their own language .
