Description: Vance just wanted to make the most out of his college experience under an authoritarian regime, and if that meant hacking into the university to assign himself a hot female roommate, then so be it. The last thing he expected was to be dragged into a crazy conspiracy to overthrow the government by his most-definitely-not-female roommate. College was meant to be exciting, but not this exciting. Between failed dates, failed grades, and successful hacks, Vance will slowly begin to question the morality of his actions and the true price of freedom.

Followed.  After all, this isn't just a toon about hacking, it's a toon about revolution!  As a radical politics nerd, I'm waiting for the chance to nitpick the politics the way people have been nitpicking the hacking! ;)

too bad it's dead then before even showing a single hint of political content. same thing here.

One amusing thing is that this toon itself is kind of like a trojan horse.  I mean, it's about this guy who is a good deal like the intended audience, and it appears to be all about waking him from his superficial slumber of caring only about things the audience cares about, to become interested in more important things--changing the world from the terrible state it's in, in the webtoon.  But since arguably the real world is in a similarly terrible state, the whole thing could be here to draw all of us/you in with seductive artwork and drama, and similarly awaken us to the need to fight for a better world.

Hey, I'm in.

Alternatively, it could serve to vicariously satisfy our desires towards disrupting the status quo, and let us get on with our slumber of complacency.

I'm mostly playing a cheeky devil's advocate here, but I do feel that moving people to action is one of the hardest hat tricks for entertainment fiction to pull. Much easier to shape perspectives: To influence opinions, to create or destroy stereotypes; to affect how we receive the world, rather than how we impress ourselves upon it. Input processing rather than ouput processing, if you will.

I'm going to be honest:  While it's much more accurate than most comics about hacking, I still laughed out loud when the rebellion hacker-guy started going off about rainbow tables and zero-day exploits in 0.7; it felt like he was reading from a series of powerpoint slides.  It just came off as a forced attempt drop the terminology -- nobody actually talks like that unless they're writing a paper on security or something.  I mean, don't get me wrong, it's all right, but nobody would actually say "I stole their passwords hashes so I can brute-force a rainbow-table before they catch the zero-day exploit I'm using."  You'd either assume that the person you're talking to already knows all that (in which case it'd be like saying "don't worry, I can manipulate doorknobs using my fingers and the muscles in my arms") or they won't, in which case it wouldn't make any sense.

(Rereading it, I suppose you could read it as him being a blowhard, showing off by dropping a bunch of terms he doesn't think she'll understand, but it doesn't seem to fit either of their characterizations.)

The art style is so magnificent. Bright colors with dark undertones that just pops out at you. It like a blowjob for your eyes.

Thanks for uploading a new chapter, guys :3

I need Moar!

I think I just fell in love with that gorgeous art. Also I had always a soft spot for dystopian settings so I just have to like it.

A+ 10/10

"Got it! I'll be a penetration tester!" says the naked guy to the man with a wry smile on his face.

And the MC is an idiot. Seriously, who in their right mind would brag about hacking stuff on your facebook page. And randomly blab about everything to a total stranger? Especially when you know that Big Brother is watching. :\

I second Expers' reply and just want to add..

Some people have exaggerated view of themselves; the MC is one of such.

Nevermind the Big Brother; he couldn't even cover his trail from his own father (though I think using packet sniffer -as MC suspected- is an overkill).

God, this looks fantastic.

Kudos to artist. And the story is pretty interesting.

Can't wait for another chapter!

This is perfect ♥ Instant follow + instant follow up on Yuumei

Pretty impressive. I hope we will be able to see more of that guy in his masked/hacking form, though. Currently the antagonist of the series (or so it would seem), but it just feels so like the MC and he will team-up for "good". ;)

if you are the very intro chapter, you can kinda get a hint of what will happen with their relationship

I just started this today and immediately they talk about secure tunneling. This is my type of series! What can I say, authenticated key pairs turn me on. And what a superb color palette.

Also, I knew I saw that cover image before somewhere but didn't know where it was from, until now.

I think it matches the series pretty well actually.
