The author at least had the good sense to end the series on a somewhat hopeful note. It's not an ideal ending, but it's far from the worst ending I've seen in a manga. Thanks for translating it.
what a crap ending
Smart or stupid, wrong or right (factually and objectively speaking), you need power to defend your view against those who would force their views on you. It doesn't really matter if you're factually right and the other party is wrong if the wrong party isn't interested in listening, so in the end it basically comes down to who holds the most power and can figuratively speaking (or literally) destroy the other side.
Well, it is time for MY two cents worth...
In all of my years, I have noticed one consistent trait among political philosophies; both those on the extreme right AND those on the extreme left of the political spectrum tend to be people who are completely intolerant of those with opposing viewpoints and both groups would be more than happy to exterminate ALL who have differing beliefs.
Meanwhile, I, as more of a centrist, have plenty of tolerance for different beliefs and view points. Therefore, the ONLY true solution to this problem of violence and strife caused by both the far right and the extreme left is simply to...
