What gets me isn't that so much, it's that this was something in the actual DC Comics universe and that, after his death, there was apparently a Dogwelder II.

This oneshot was released two years ago in 2015. Here's to hoping for some serialization or continuation or some sort! Cheers!

I love how we're so used to this sort of nonsense now that the author can get away with flatly explaining the concept in one sentence on the first page.

 

In other news, the characters seem fairly genial and likable but not overdone, which seems rare enough in a story about good/bad looks swapping.

Like, it explained the concept, established their relationship, played with the idea of emotional-versus-physical damage, and then it was over. I'm not sure if the "we look forward to your support" message is supposed to imply that this is a pilot of some kind, and that a serialisation is in the works that would further expand this into an actual story? I guess that could be interesting.

There's a good chance that it might if it's popular enough. I've seen several that started out as one shot's but got more chapters because of popularity

Isn't there a Spongebob squarepants episode with a similar concept, where Squidward becomes increasingly handsome as Spongebob continues to assault him? "The two faces of Squidward" I believe it was called.
