Au contraire, I think this could be the beginning. It could end here and be satisfying, true, but I think this arc might just be the opening act to set the stage for a much larger stage. Look at the prologue, we have yet to reach that point.
Dont see a way for this story to keep going on much longer. I hope author ends this succesfully with a bang now when he gained one hellowa momentum to the story.
Sure we could still hear about the shot down imaginary project, protagonists father, Lilias background, the fate of the police officer, more about the terrorist organization and so on, but giving the story a new direction succesfully without leaving sore taste requires some magical writing.
Holy fuck, that's intense.
I hope this arc the ending of the series, as that would be fucking brilliant
yes
Woo! These latest chapters had me literally stressed. Glad I stuck around for this one. Thanks for the update!
last page give me chill on how the plot will going.
Thank you for the work!
Goddamn, that determination alone is so badass, can't imagine how even more badass it will be when they really did that!
I marathoned this last night, and I have to say this is one of my favorite webtoons to date. The MC starts out timid but quickly becomes more badass/confident, the other two leads are both very interesting and unique, the villain organization seems pretty unique... And the pacing is great, it's fast but not TOO fast, and you still get to see the characters develop and change at a pace that feels natural. As a bonus, while the main trio seems to have plot armor, the same doesn't apply to other potential allies so the tension about whether they'll live or die is actually real.
And I love the artwork so much. The shifts between grayscale and color really adds to the sort of neo-noir atmosphere, especially since the grayscale tends to still have SOME color like blood or people's eyes. The art style and character design also add to it, though it does get a bit iffy sometimes (that villain-lady's boobs were set WAY too far apart in one panel in the hospital).
I think my favorite panel in the entire series so far is this one, because it just sums up the entire atmosphere of the story in one panel:
Can't wait for the next chapter!
*DING*
"Your [Strength] level has increased enough to [Fly using a drone to a skyrise building], do you accept or decline?"
*DING*
"Your [Badassery] has leveled up twice."
was underestimated this one, then i have to stop at ch 25 so i can have this bliss slowly...ahh yiisssss
So, when are we removing the "Comedy" tag?
It only keeps getting better! ^^
Major spoilers ahead if you aren't caught up.
TL;DR: this is surprisingly good.
Looks like his balls have finally dropped.
Respect for that man.
Oh boy this story is the good stuff.. so good stuff.. Only way it could get better is protagonist starting to slowly, thorough the story, recruit his own hit squad.
Naver actually blurs out violent content and some swear words (even after the author already obscured it). I've read that Naver gets advance copy of the future plots and scenarios well before they're published. You can actually pay to get early access to upcoming releases before their official posting day.
Some of these Naver Webtoons were originally independent projects from the "challenge league". Popular series moves up to upper tiers based on views and Naver will eventually pick up a series to formally published as a Naver Webtoon. In other words, a really unique series might not get picked up if Koreans don't read it.
I'm guessing because webtoons don't need to go through a publisher and all that, so they get more creative freedom to do what they want and without fear of getting axed?
Damnnnnnnn son, this is a fucking cool story. I really love this. Why dont wee have more stories like this? Damn!!
Fuck me sideways I guess I ain't dropping this yet.
We all can agree Lilia is the second or first best thing of this manwha. (the spot rival is the kid's power, really cool one)
