Hey all, due to Viz licensing Short Cake Cake, I won't be translating this series any further. Sorry if it's not what you want to hear, but I hope you understand. Please consider supporting the author when the volumes are released! 

Viz picked up the license for this series. ANN says first volume is slated for next August

Prejudices on my sleeve:  I am a bookish nerd and not a social butterfly and don't usually get along with social butterflies at more than a very superficial level, so I would be much happier reading about the girl going for the bookish nerd than the social butterfly.  So, not happy about the direction things seem to be going.  Of course, this may just be drama plot stuff, where she'll go with him for a while and then switch . . . but I'm not wild about that kind of drama either.

Ch 19 pg 21- since when does Romeo and Juliet have a twist in the final line? “For never was a story of more woe / Than this of Juliet and her Romeo” ...maybe he means final act? although the Prologue tells you exactly how the play ends.

The actual quotes Chiaki uses to Ten in that page are modern Japanese, which means the author's pulling from some modern Japanese (possibly summarized) version of R&J. It's likely that version was different. I tried taking some lines from the original to fit what the author was saying since I didn't want Shakespeare to sound like a 15-year-old. 

I didn't think I would at the start, but I'm definitely pulling for Riku. It's nice to see a "playboy" type character actually change naturally instead of suddenly becoming sincere late in the series after continuing to act the same

I like both Riku and Chiaki. Ahahahaha.
