Forgot this even existed...Well good to see it being translated again!
I don't see how that should stop someone from translating it?
When it indicates it's going to maybe cover one volume of a novel?
since when is chapter count an indication of whether or not a series should be translated?
This only has 11 chapters what even is the point lol
Whoa, over three years. Certainly wasn't expecting this to get picked up.
Wow i'm surprised with all that happened in the flashback volumes you still haven't understood
It was explained in the afterword of Volume 11 that explaining of how Godou became a Campione (Which Included how Erica fell for him) took up to much that even 1 volume (Volume 3) was not enough and he had to put it off until later again to tell it which was for me a good coincidence because it felt like it prevented in going in a generic cliche way (Normal chronological order of how a person falls for another). It built up anticipation in which readers would usually go "How did she fall for him" and later to learn with them going "Wow, so this is how she fell for him" leaving readers satisfied.
As it is even i wouldn't dare of reading volume 3 and volume 11 first directly before proceeding to the other because there are parts and bits of important info that will be redundant for those who haven't read the former volumes making it less interesting in impact.
And for the anime... because it has only had a timeframe for 13 episodes that is why the Melqart part was left out making it confusing for viewers to understand how Erica went lovey dovey on Godou. Which really testified how important the flashback volumes were.
If the anime were set for 26 episodes then it would have really been better. Since it would have pretty much covered the worldbuilding for the characters involved in the series
I've re-read the book of what happens after Godou becomes Campione and when he fights Doni several times, and I've yet to get how Erica changed her opinion of him in such a time frame. As far as I can tell, she hates him for most of that book, goes tsundre for one chapter then completely falls for him.,
are no translators picking this up or aren´t there more chapts out what i don´t think would be the case
The fight with Donni wasn't written till three years after the anime ended.
The anime is confusing as hell since the part that made Erica fall for Godou was just skipped and it was epic as hell(the fight with Salvatore Donni), too bad we wont get the Great Sage of equaling Heaven Arc and the lovely Luo Hao presence as well.
missing text
The anime really kinda messed up on his personality to be honest. Light Novel is where you wanna go if you want a good story, the art is pretty terrible though. But it looks like the artist was changed in the latest volume (volume 16), so it might get better from now on. And the manga appears to have been released first (2011 vs 2012 anime).
So for story -> Light Novel.
For art / action -> Anime.
To read while you wait for more Light Novel to be translated/released -> Manga.
this one is based one the existing anime that allready is complete with 13 episodes
this manga is a other version based of it anime came over first not sure if manga in japan was first out though.
its a bit ecchi has a weird hero in the manga, he is dull ,in the anime he has at least some brains, but still seems to be more or less an air head.
but yeah its a harem story
as said the anime is better and more in a proper order this is more or less a flashy wishy washy put together my recommandation read this for boredom and watch rather the anime. since the anime explains stuff a bit better even though its fast peaced, if you love male hero with a female harem stories its enteraining, but if you hate them put this storyback on the shelv since its not meant for you lol
Yeah episode 1 was interesting. After all it cut parts of vol. 3, Completely skipped Vol.11, and the first chapter of Vol.14. Sigh, other than that I found the anime quite satisfying. Just wished the battle scene were more entertaining.
Also Erica is pretty awesome character and Godou is a tsundere which is rare.
In my case what got me into this were I think the second and third episodes. The first episode just felt like fanservice was its foundation and I was repulsed. The next episode had me confused since Erica acted all lovey dovey which I found to be quite odd and waaaaaaay too cliche. From then on it was just me getting irritated(and entertained ) by the insane kissing, getting confused by the fusing and twisting of all that mythology and plain fanboying at Lily. Then, before it ended, I tried out the LNs and then when I saw the final episodes I was like "Huh?" WTF is this? This never happened....
I hate that the story is so confusing in the romance aspect. One moment you have
Still ongoing.
And i recommend reading it much better than the Anime Adaptation.
did the light novel of this already end?
there are a few mistakes in the translation (some gramar errors and in one page the same text ws put in two bubbles), though nothing major, also for those wondering, in page 28 "diavolo rosso"= "red devil" in italian.
By the novels description Godou's Harem by far is the best one i ever saw.
Yeah! Updates!
Actually, I am rather thankful of the anime, though it's weaknesses..
The first episode totally attracts me to the show...<- Different from the novel but quite an impact start for me...
And that is where my novel craze started...
warrior form in LN and anime is different. In LN, warrior form is more of light orbs in it's unaltered state(first duel with Doni). It can however change it's shape like the duel with lancelot( a golden snake)
monkey king part eh, that was awesome indeed.
sadly, I'm very disappointed by the anime and manga. art aside (LN wasn't that great either IMO but at least LN only needs art to assist in the imagery), the anime heavily edited the entirety of v3 into 1 episode, and both the anime and manga edited the location of the duel with Erica as well as the events in the duel.
All in all, all could've adapted the LN better. The adaptations are not even satisfactory IMO, unlike that for Accel World or Hyouka. Though, I really liked the OP for Campione! anime.
I might as well mention that I had a different image for the warrior form.
