I just read 6 chapter, and I'm wondering why akari wear diferent uniforms?

Pfft, such a silly question

I love this series for how nuanced it was. This chapter kind of broke out of that mould with Yuu being less subtle about her intentions. Not entirely in your face but definitely more spelled out. This could be a good or bad thing but I've got faith in this author.

Oh, writer chick, I feel you.

I would probably have liked this more if Yuu had remained as she was in the beginning, totally uninterested in anyone romantically or sexually, but it's still a brilliant manga. The art is phenomenal, which is especially important given how much of the story is conveyed through the drawing alone.

22 chapters in and I still can't get over how pretty everything is.

Looks like the new guy's function will be to highlight Nanami's internal disconnect.

Now we have three perspectives on Touko present - her classmates who see her false front, those who love her and see her hidden weaknesses, and "family" who knew her in her childhood. The elements of the story have converged to replicate the play within.

 

That means the playwright's concerns about the play's ending probably foreshadow some misfortune that is soon to occur. She finds the "happy ending", in which Touko rejects her false selves and commits to her lover, unnatural. This is what Yuu secretly hopes for - she wants to be able to openly love Touko, which requires that Touko accept her love. However, it's been made clear that Touko is not at all ready to do this, that her love for Yuu is contingent on Yuu's apparent indifference to her. The playwright's opinion thus indicates that Touko will continue on her current path. Yuu doesn't notice anything amiss with the play's ending, which perhaps indicates that she is still not entirely aware of her desires.

You know, it occurs to me that some of the people in this are pretty messed up, but it stays fairly cheerful because they are also pretty nice--their intentions are basically good, none of them want to hurt anyone and so on.  It's kind of refreshing; often in manga you have this distinction between the ones about nice people, who never have any real hangups except basic low self-esteem and shyness type of stuff, and the ones about people with serious hangups and baggage, which tend to be dark affairs with everyone manipulating and fucking each other over or at least lashing out hard and taking out their frustrations on each other.  But people can have hangups and still be nice, yes?
