Spoiler

p.s. I still believe Barbarossa will make Parthevia great again~

So Barbarrossa is a supremacist . Cant say im surprised since he has always preferred the company of blue eyed and white species...

Be happy he only took you horse back riding, instead of forcing you to duel with cards, Sinbad.

I can already see the Barbarossa x Sinband doujins.

Cover 12!!

and about the part that he has no beard? Even though his name means red beard?

More importantly, browless bobbed hair = evil ;p

p.s. It is even more funny considering Barbarossa is italian (in manga Reims), but Parthevia is based on Parthian Empire; which gets names like Mithridates, Artabanus etc.

the rationing of food and basic necessities can only go so far until they expend all their national budget. LOL.

Socialism vs Capitalism, folks!

Uhh, what? Rationing have nothing to do with their national budgets...

Rationing is a system to give everyone an ability to buy a limited resource (ie. meat or rice) by imposing a limit that each person can buy regardless of their personal wealth. The food isn't free, rationing just prevents rampant price hikes from hoarding. (ie. if someone buys all the rice on the market, then proceed to scalp it for ten times the price back into the market) The macroeconomics behind it is that the market is soo cornered that it is EASY for anyone and their mothers to manipulate the market, and rationing is there to prevent it, it have little to do with the socialism/capitalism dichotomy as far as the political spectrum goes (if anything, rationing is an anti-monopoly policy rather than anti-capitalism; heck, one can even argue that it is pro-capitalism since it's immediate effect is to promote fair market competition and pricing.) and even less to do with the national budget (since rationing doesn't relate to any government spending at all, unless you consider the printing of the coupons such a major expenditure that creates millions of jobs).

RL example: Next time you go see a sports game, imagine what would happen if they don't ration the tickets, such that the first person in line can buy all the seats in the stadium, then proceed to resell the tickets for ten times the listed amount. Limiting the amount of tickets each person can buy and laws preventing scalping is basically rationing, and you'll be hard pressed to argue that it relates at all to the national budget ;p.

A tidbit of history: Before the antitrust laws, US railroad owners are so unregulated and such a monopoly that they are free to charge whatever they want; to the point that farmers were leaving their crops rotting in the field because it cost more to transport the crops to the markets than it is to sell the crops at the markets.

Moral of the story: don't believe everything government regulated as inherently bad; understand that at the extreme end of deregulation is a highly self-regulated monopoly that also breaks free market mechanics - able to ignore the demand by a complete control of supply.

On other note, anyone feels like the mangaka is slowly writing themselves into a corner? At this point, I do not think suppression of dissidents will suffice to turn the moral story against barbarossa's regime. Shy of barbarossa allowing arbitrary enslavement and selling them to boost exports, I honestly probably will support barbarossa's regime.

Edit: Ah fuck, wrong manga

I anticipate a lot of "It's time to d-d-d-duel!" memes when Sinbad faces off against Kai- I mean, Barbarossa. :>

"See the truth with your own eyes".

Sure, assuming he gets to see the truth and not a controlled environment.

See? Once I wish that they made it the actual truth, the biggest spoiler is the existence of Magi.

I am somewhat irked by the lack of a meaningful discussion in recent manga's plots that just automatically assume autocracy is evil and democracy is good. You just don't get the thought provoking dissertations on political systems like those presented in LOTGH.

This feels like i'll be reading an arc about akatsuki no yona.

i cant take this guy seriously , he looks exactly like Kaiba

edit: everyone already pointed it out guess im too slow

Even his flamboyant armour resembles Blues Eyes White Dragon.

That former general was like " S*rew the Monarchy i have money! "

"See the truth with your own eyes".

Sure, assuming he gets to see the truth and not a controlled environment.

Spoiler

Omg, I was gonna say that. >< I was too late. :( Basically, his cranial features are the same (Barb's chin is a little more rounded up), and he also has this...Haircut, that slightly covers the eyes  (Plus the little hair spike between the eyes). Also seems to have the same body type and general behavior. :P

That "former" general looks too much like Seto Kaiba from the Yugioh series....

Well, it's clear that Alibaba gets his hair spike from his dad, judging from that last panel. :P

Assault of the Chibi Judar

To cringe, or to hug him. That is the question.

Can we just send him to his room without dessert?

Lmao. Omg Judar is so tiny. It's kinda sad to see him already like this when he's so young though. And Zepar even implies he already has dark rukh hanging around him. =/

Assault of the Chibi Judar

To cringe, or to hug him. That is the question.

The answer is yes.

Oh look, it's an evil shota. >_>
