It's licensed in english by Yen Press but I also know another manga being translated by another scanlator, so I think's it's ok for scanlators to translate this manga if it gets picked up!

Sounds like another "I got locked up somewhere and crazy things happen that cause people to die" mystery/horror/etc. There are so many manga with that theme out there that it has become boring for a starting premise...

After a quick google search, yes, it is adapted from a game. The other series the afterword talked about is this one.
