Nah. The page itself shows what she meant. She was comparing humans to Elder Things and Mi-Go (who ARE still around in this day and age) and basically complaining about how underevolved we are. So, in the spirit of making onee-chan happy, GET TO WORK, SCIENTISTS! You lazy bums better come up with at least 9 tentacles per person.

All I thought when seeing the bonus art chapter documenting the author’s thoughts with each chapter was that Kayano Ai is a true goddess. Megu-nee, Mocha-nee and this added to it. Big sisters are the best, and she’s like the industry’s big sister.

Hey man, some cultures consider family as a very important thing, you sound like one of those people who grew up in a culture where after 18+ years old you're suddenly independent and its fine to think the way you do. The scanlator isnt completely unhappy with their life, she is just asking for help, from LEECHERS like us who decide not to be leechers. The fact that she continues to scanlate just shows that she loves doing it and convenient since she can spend her free time doing what she wants. Also, it most likely isnt the parents fault the parent needs special assistance to live, situations like this are just unfortunate and are in no way under control or avoidable. You make it sound as if the parent is guilt tripping their child where in reality it is the child who makes the final decision to do what they want. To give back to someone who managed to spend 18+ years and the years spent beforehand to support supporting a child to adulthood is the icing on the cake that parents usually hope for, whether it be simply sending a bit of money over or sacrificing their own time to help the parent live just a bit longer. I agree it may seem annoying seeing it alot, but i come from a time where scanlations were just getting started and the constant watermarks and wars between scanlators were much worse than this. So, just go make like a leech and suck entertainment off and then leave without a word like most leechers.

One thing I wanna know about the scanalator/translator. He always puts he's forced to stay at home to care for his mother. I noticed this on Worlds End Harem. But okay shes your mother and you only have one mother but shes been ill for over 15 years and yet he is 'forced' to stay at home to look after her. I get the kindness in it but your essentially putting your life on hold for over 10 years. If it was my mother she would want me to pursue my life, work, go abroad etc. She wouldnt have me stay at home. And no one should be forced to do this. Only professionally paid people should do this. But this guy is just being forced. Yeah I dont know the whole story but end of day you got your own life

 
I had always thought that this was just the translator's off-beat way of asking for donations, especially since I don't very often see rant/support request pages from cake, usually just a quick credits page.  I visited cakes site to look, and there is no mention of being forced to stay home to care for his/her mother.  In fact, the donation page states if you like the work, please donate to support it.  There seems to be a whole lot of conversation without knowing the facts.
 
Of course if I'm wrong I'll be terribly embarrassed.

Not really. It's always Pochi/Pochi-Goya/Iida Pochi. Pochi is the key here.

I agree with you, but I kinda wish she put it on an end page rather than the actual comic pages. Sometimes it ruins heartfelt moments, which is kinda disrespectful towards the original author.

But its your own life to begin with.
