Description: Guy has some "precious book" with some "wonderful pictures" that he can't show to anyone.... The reason being, most of his college friends can't really understand his "tendencies".

Of course, we wouldn't have a story if the guy didn't go through some life changing encounters (all thanks to that very same book).

Uhh... any chance to remove the "Tragedy" tag? It almost made me miss out on this load of diabetes.

You could say that about just about any human act, up to and including murder. "There's nothing wrong with killing that guy, you're just forcing your own morals".
Unfortunately for you, human society depends on some commonly accepted rules called morals to function, and this is one of them.

Murder is bad because it deprives someone of life. What does their relationship deprive anyone of? Nothing. Rather, it adds beauty to the world.

In this respect, they are as bad as "this old boy down home." His wife sent him to the store for a ham. After he bought it, she asked him why he didn't have the butcher cut off the end of the ham. "This old boy" asked his wife why she wanted the end cut off. She replied that her mother had always done it that way and that was reason enough for her. Since the wife's mother was visiting, they asked her why she always cut off the end of the ham. Mother replied that this was the way her mother did it; Mother, daughter and "this old boy" then decided to call grandmother and solve this three-generation mystery. Grandmother promptly replied that she cut the end of the ham because her roaster was too small to cook it in one piece.

Ah shiet, did the updates just there to made me feel sad again?? Unfollow!

in another few years the difference will be a lot more minor.

or a lot less minor :D

Kyouka is still best girl and I'm still mad.

uh, just to note, middle school in asian terms is around 13-15. Basically "jr high" in the states. The kid's at least 13.

In Japan, middle school is from grades 7-9, so it's actually 12-15 years old. She's at least 12, but in the best case scenario, she's 15 while Haru is 18. Which is still a LITTLE weird (think college freshman dating a high school sophomore), but only barely. Like others have said, in another few years the difference will be a lot more minor.

Too bad it got axed. As much as I like Amari I thought Haru and Kyouka had a good thing going. Amari's just too young.

While I don't mind how the coupling turned out in the end, I still sort of get the feeling that maybe things would have turned out differently had this not been axed. Kyouka has more legit romantic development sort of deals than Amari does throughout the manga after all, but not quite enough that it would have made sense by chapter 30.

a 16 year old dating a 7 year old is a much bigger difference than what you are describing.

Amari isn't 7 though. I don't know whether her actual age was mentioned, but she said she is a middle schooler at the end of chap 3 - I guess that's somewhere between 10-15 years old. And there is a LARGE difference even between 7 and 10. If we assume that Haru is 16 and Amari 10, I don't really see a problem if he decides to wait at least 4 years (and it was mentioned multiple times that he would wait for her to grow up).

my mom was in high school and my dad was already working when they met they began their relationship when my mom was in college they married when my mom finished college.

their is a thing called waiting ya do know that right ? and you should know as long as he doesn't touch her,in certain places, it won't be a crime their is no law that says you can't date someone under 18 because you are above 18. as long as both partys knows how to think and people around them knows what the heck is happening, cause it will be shady if it was a secret relationship, then yeah still not a crime.

that's it?! what the fk! that's too short!

A strange experience. I came for the loli but found myself rooting for Kyouka. I guess I go for tsundere in real life too. >.>

Aw man, I wanted more. Too bad it already ended

not enough... needs more loli hugs.

We were discussing the theoretical extrapolation of what we DID see happen, i.e. Haru and Amari entering a "relationship". Granted, they might end up "breaking up" the week after the end of the manga, but we don't know that. This is an application of Ontological Inertia- offscreen characters are assumed to be doing what we last left them doing unless specified otherwise.

They're pretty explicit that after the hug we see, they won't even hug until she's of age. If you're going based off inertia, that suggests that you consider even "a relationship" that doesn't involve anything remotely sexual to be "illicit" (still waiting for which definition you're using).

Exactly what about this situation do you believe is "illicit", and by which definition?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you're arguing against a situation you personally think will happen - not a situation that has been depicted as having occurred, probable beyond a reasonable doubt in the future, or even likely to happen at all.

THAT'S the end? Oh, boy.

Anywhore, thanks for the scans, and for seeing the story right through the end! As weird as it was though...

regardless of whether this manga is creepy or not, this is a stupid argument

there's obviously a difference between a 7 year gap between adults and a 7 year gap between a college student and a prepubescent girl

My parents has a 7 years gap so when my dad was 18 my mom was 11 sooooooooo i don't get about this debate, it ain't a crime.

Dear editor and author, are you probably cutting this short due to our less favorable response to the theme of your choosing? Please, no more. This is yours alone, no matter how seemingly disagreeable it is by nature - or by the harshness of feedbacks. Because there are actually many of those who just enjoy what you've made, that we got no time to bitch, busy relieving the diabetes you gave us. Cheers for Amari Mawari, good while it last!

Was expecting Kyouka end with them adopting Amari.

Honestly I thought this was gonna be the ending (maybe without an actual adoption lol)

Before the confession it seemed like Kyouka was getting closer and closer to Haru while Amari was just innocently obsessed with shiny bottle blonde hair.

Still, the ending seemed kinda rushed, was this series axed or something?

Yes, of course they aren't going to get arrested for walking down the street. That's not the issue here. The issue here is that the relationship IS illicit, not whether they're going to get caught about it.

Deleted most of your post because there is no reason to quote it.

As someone with law enforcement experience, I would not do anything if I saw Amari and Haru together in public. I don't know how you think law enforcement works, but seeing two people together doesn't result in action. There has to be probable cause that the law is being broken or could be broken in the near future. The couple could be brother/sister, cousins, uncle/niece, next neighbors, and the innocent list goes on why two people of different ages are together. Police would be stopping every pairing in public if your criteria was followed and all it would result in is headaches for everyone.

Also how would police know if Amari and Haru are in a relationship in order to arrest Haru? Would they wear big signs proclaiming it?

Why not just come out and say that you hate these kind of stories?

I thought I'd made it more than clear enough already, I dislike this kind of romance. And I'm not sure what the rest of your post is supposed to be about- that they're going to be in (what you tacitly agreed was) an illicit relationship, but they're going to be discreet? Yes, of course they aren't going to get arrested for walking down the street. That's not the issue here. The issue here is that the relationship IS illicit, not whether they're going to get caught about it.

...Honetstly, continuing this discussion is pointless. Amari Mawari was cute enough while it lasted, and while I don't like the way it ended, arguing about it serves no further purpose. The signs were all there from the start, if I wanted to avoid this I should've dropped it ten chapters ago.

Cheers.
