It followed the anime story piece for piece all the way until the end, which is weird for an anime to come after the manga and yet finish the same way before the manga finishes.
That said, I like the conclusion better in the manga. Gave us a bit more for info for how the main two turned out.

Them Jedis use lightsabers. You obviously can bring a lightsaber to a gunfight. Though I've seen a lot of arguments stating that Jedis are weak against regular good ol' gunpowder guns.
The Jedi Order would like a word with you.
I believe volume 4 ends at chapter 37, that is what my copy shows.
By now all I know is that the only place where you can bring a katana to a gunfight is Japan.
Heh......."confusing", yeah, that could be said of pretty much the whole thing though, eh?
A darned interesting concept this one started off with, but it's really done very little with it.

Assassin are just hired killers. They are paid to kill people, that's their job. As I can remember Ezio killed a lot of people, but no one paid for him to do so, so he is not an "assassin", he's a "serial killer".
...dunno about the girls, but Ezio were definitely an assassin (I avoid using 'real' since I don't know how 'real assassin' works)
While it's true from another angle, but most of the time assassins need to stealth kill their target since their are not a Rambo-class or Steven Seagal-class or Chuck Norris-class or Tatsuya-class... at best they are in Ninja-class or Sniper-class. They might start a war AFTER they kill the target, but not before (except when they got busted from the start)
Assassin doesn't have to stealth kill their target.
Neither them nor Ezio are real assassins.
