It seems Aki Irie really established a style school, I'm glad about that

Oh, oh, oh, augh I can't believe I didn't realize it before now, this is why the younger Pevensie sister in The Narnia Chronicles is named Lucy (yes, I know that was also his goddaughter's name, but still)! She could see through the darkness to the light.

Why do I feel a bit familiar with the story, I never really read Scandinavian folklore mmm...

I wonder if this is a Swedish thing, we do not celebrate this in Norway- at last nor as I am aware of.

But I have heard similar pagan celebrations like "Midtvinterdagen" and  something beginning with S - cant remember the name now.

I think it's originally Swedish. At least here in Finland we have this "Lucias day", but it's mainly celebrated by the Finn-Swedes as far as I know.

Knowing EverydayHeroes, I thought they're going to eat that bird.

Pragmatically people in those days mostly would have, especially in winter.  And yet at the same time they'd tell stories like this.  People are funny and contradictory; even tough hardscrabble peasants have a sentimental side.

Your comment is the reason I read this one shot lol thanks
