Followup: The books are only available from resellers, and the only one that Amazon Japan lists as having them won't ship outside of Japan.

I don't have enough words to thank you! Really, thank you very very very very very very much for translating Bara no Tameni and (hopefully) finishing this manga. I thought it wouldn't come the day I would know the end of this lovely story. Thank you so much T-T (And the high quality of your content... even translating the mangaka words... I'm so touched Y-Y). If in the future you could translate any other title by Yoshimura Akemi, it'll be very welcome ^-^ Otsukaresama deshita!

As you may or may not already know, once I finish with Bara no Tame ni it is my full intention to do another series of hers: Umi Yori mo Fukaku (Deeper Than the Sea).  I have the books already, and managed to gather the chapters that the group SweetSense did long ago and post them here on Batoto.

As for completeness, I consider that a personal challenge.  I'm pretty sure that SweetSense was intimidated by Yoshimura's after-words, as they are hand-written and large.  The one for chapter 53 contained a fair amount of northern Japanese dialect too.  Hand-written Japanese varies in legibility from person to person, just as hand-written English does.

I presume you're talking about Koi Neko?  They're here on Batoto.  Some administrator marked them as "archived", though, so they don't show up in the recent updates list.  You will see them if you pull up the series page, though.

I just created an account just to be able to thank you so very very very much for continuing Koi Neko, I'm literally in tears right now as I'm writing this because I loved that manga so much and I was so sad last year when I found out the chapters stopped coming... Are you still translating the Golden Time?

Not the manga.  That has been licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment for publication in English.  Last I saw, they expect to release the first volume sometime this fall.  I honor their license, and besides which have more than enough other stuff to work on.

I continue working on the light novel, at a rate of two pages or so per week.  Right this moment, I have eight pages left to finish volume four.  It's "only" taken me just short of five years to translate half the light novel series.  The first page took me two weeks.  Now one page is usually about an hour's work, but I've found so many other things to distract me...

I do what I can.  My biggest problem (apart from my imperfect Japanese) is that there is so much good stuff out there to be done, and I only have my spare time to do it in.  And there are a lot of things competing for my "spare" time...
