 asdfblarg: Batoto reader is offically DEAD and removed. Rest of the site is still currently up.

Oh that's so sad. Currently batoto and dynasty-scans are my first point of contact for old content. Batoto has earnt an excellent reputation despite numerous site bugs (e.g. reading on mobile in mobile mode fucks up the layout and the reader has also gained various bugs in the past 5 years or so)

Regaridng bot usage: Increase the strictness for registration, rather than hosting latest content to the public, you could just only show the first chapter or so.

Also the current reader is rather inefficient, it should work a lot better if you were to use let's say FoolRulez' reader.

I really like this site and I'd hate to have to find an alternative. All of the other top end sites are just, well, fucking crapfested with ads and aren't really worth respecting on many grounds. Perhaps Dynasty-scans might take over Batoto's role in the future since it runs under similar rules such as respecting DMCA and scanlator's requests, has a great reader, simple site and actually doesn't have ads at all (unlike batoto) However dynasty doesn't host alternative languages afaik.

Well considering many ripping sites rip of batoto, this will affect many ripping sites. I earnestly hate kiss### if it werne't for their rules and the way they run their site, but the fact that their site supports all-in-one-page reader is what I think makes them the current highest possible traffic manga reader out there at the moment. Batoto going down will take a huge hit on the internet for people who can't afford or are incapable of reading manga in their region (e.g. myself, many series aren't available in my region, and I'm too poor to afford numerous series. At the moment I can probably afford one novel every month at most.)
