#1889015 For a Love Long Lost

Posted by Yaomo on 06 July 2019 - 12:01 AM

You knew who you were
but now

You know Nothing.
It is odd
how I can feel
thee.

Thee.

Thou art
but a memory.

A memory of days
past.
Nights lighter than
sunrise.

Thou art,

Thou were

The first love
worth

fighting for,
struggling for.

But never did
I see.

I could not recognise
Thee.

I have never
really
been

someone to attempt poetry.

It's just not my thing.

But tonight
I toast to thee,
to you.

A friend
long passed.

We will never meet again.
I will never hear your voice
one more time.

That time has passed.
I did not know.

And I am left
with nothing but

a memory

of fairies
fair and
heroes strong
and selfless.

But I am
nothing

but the villain.

Let the world return
to nothingness,

dark.

Darker than
the Devil King's own
soul.

We shall never meet again,

but I miss you.

And he,
that guy,

the one we both know.

He's just as
gone
as you.

So where should I look?

How do I find thee?
Find you?

I have been left
alone.

And the World

does not want me.

Dead Means

there's no returning.

No happily ever
after.

Emptiness is left

behind

me.

I walked
Across the Earth

but could  not find
you.

Only you were
nowhere
to be found.

#1876557 vatoto.com is up

Posted by Yaomo on 11 May 2018 - 12:59 AM

i'm seriously behind on everything regarding manga, so i'm feeling a little bit sad to find these news tonight after remembering some series that i was following before life got too busy to keep up with everything.

even though i haven't used the site or forums for way too long, i still feel a need to express my thanks to Grumpy and the rest of the team who created batoto.

the forums and the friends i found through this shared interest, kept me going at the darkest point in my life. the follows list was awesome, and i'll make sure to download a copy on my pc as well. the creator and admins may have been some of the greatest ever. and i deeply respect how batoto's policy regarding hosting has worked, even when thay meant i had to visit other sites to read some series, as well as the openness around ad revenue and donations.

i'm really sad to not have the original site to visit just because i was too late, but also very happy that the forums have been preserved until now so i could visit at all (and find my folows).

i wish you all good luck with whatever new projects you take on in your lives!

#1850963 Why are yaoi and shounen-ai manga so popular?

Posted by Yaomo on 26 December 2017 - 03:12 AM

Someone actually managed to revive this discussion from the earlier times of these forums.... and i missed it!

not that i really care that much anymore. yaoi is as good as any romance or porn. if it seems plausible or realistic, i'll buy it. which means i bought more when i was younger and more of a romanticist.

i still prefer the tentacles though, no matter who the victim would be.

warnings don't do anything you say... well, maybe not yet at least.

there are not enough hours in a day.

and the night has been lasting for way too long already.

haven't seen the sun in weeks, and today we didn't even see the light of day.

#1775366 What do you love? And Why?

#1775320 Walls of text

Posted by Yaomo on 13 December 2016 - 07:36 AM

children are the mirror image of the society they grow up in.
if you want to know who you truly are, you'll find a young child's eyes more accurate than any mirror you can put up on a wall.

young children are not biased. they reflect what you show them, and project the bias in the adults around them.

and if everyone around them show that same bias, they'll take it as how they are expected ro be, and they'll grow up that way.

The differences in playstyle observed between girls and boys may not be innate at all. We can't really know, because as long as adults observe, they will display the behavior they believe the adults to expect.

but that is also a natural thing. society doesn't change nature, it is created by the human nature. children display the behavior they, believe is expected from them because they are biologically programmed to do so. if they didn't, they may be disfavored by their caretakers, and that would not be great for their chances of survival in their earliest years.

if you step on ants when a child sees it, they'll learn that all living beings are not equal. if you praise a boy for playing nicely with dolls, he might just becaome a better father.

telling a girl she's as tough as a boy is not praising her, it just tells her that girls are worth less and she won't stand a chance unless she can be accepted by the boys.

some people keep the gender divide alive by making girls and boys out to be different i ways that they aren'tn. the biological differences are real, but they don't automatically make boys better hunters or girl better caretakers. that's just what society teaches them when adults place all their skewed expectations on children who are growing up.

almost posted this in the wrong thread.

#1775128 Is it rape if you have sex with someone who is drunk?

Posted by Yaomo on 11 December 2016 - 06:42 PM

uhh... that depends on how drunk they are.

three rapists (over 30) recently used your argument in norwegian court, and got away with gang raping an 18 year old girl.

their argument was that she took the drugs they offered by her own free will, and she didn't resist at all when they raped her.

though they gave her those drugs because they knew their effect would make her easier to deal with, and they never told her that they were giving her the drugs so she would be easier to rape.

i should mention that the ones who let the rapists go were middle aged upper middle class women who judged an until then innocent girl as guilty of being in the wrong place at thewrong place and saying yes to things she didn't even know what were. because that sort of women are the worst at victim blaming, even common men can't compare.

Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess.

or it won't get clean enough to last for even a day.

i'm pretty sure that's what he meant.

real life is starting to break your spirit? D:

I think it's even some scientifically recognised method of winning a discussion but I'd have to google to find out what science was saying about it.

You could try having a chat with this user if he's still around.

oh my, that's horrid. though i feel like the other guy may have been able to express something less senseless, i'm inclined to agree that the topic of rape may be a little too depressing for hell. too many stories tell that this sort of thing belongs in holier houses...

winning a discussion by using trolling tactics shouldn't be too difficult. only works if you're in a position of power, or manage to trigger people. the easiest way to win over a troll isn't to ignore them completely, but state your opinion, give your arguments, and end the discussion there. either the person thinks about it or they stay an idiot on that topic. triggered people will continue however, and that will only make the troll hold onto their opinion even stronger.

i'm not sure it's right to call people with a skewed world view trolls though. some seem to very honestly believe in what they write. i'd rather call those trolls who trigger people just to trigger them, without necesarily believing in the opinion they present.

real life isn't exactly breaking my spirit. it's building it up, and that just makes me less destructive. i've even started caring about complete strangers and talking to kids as if they were students in my school.
never really expected such severe side effects from working as a teacher.

to actually getting a grip on my life

to get a grip on your life, you need to think about the long term future first. not what you think you in 20 years will want to do, but what you truly wish the future to be like as the current you. then you make your choises accordingly. and you'll need to be open to any changes in your plans, because you will need to adjust them as you change yourself.

but your short terms wants and wishes may not be something you should act on.

i had a dream where it was possible to use google earth to zoom in on pretty much anywhere and see not only the houses there, but also people moving about in real time. close enough to spy on anyone you knew. or their house.

#1774721 [Trump thread]The worst day in Western history since Adolf Hitler

Posted by Yaomo on 07 December 2016 - 09:22 PM

the current norwegian government is full of racists.

many of those who elected them are starting to get disappointed because they voted for the non-racist policies that the party promised, things they were unable to do because there's a thing called budget. what a big surprise.

and most norwegians, it seems, those who never considered that sneaky party, are getting really angry with them because the party is so obviously racists. and they use their power to throw out not only immigrants, but even their children who were born and have grown up in norway. in some aspects, norway is far worse than america. like how children can be born and raised in our country without even getting proper citizenship.

that has nothing to do with trump, really. but his rhetoric aren't all that different from that of the leaders of our own racist party.

i don't like it. i'm unable to believe he isn't racist. or that he won't make it easier to harm the weakest in the american societies.

and that's because people who talk like him have proven themselves to be bad. you're supposed to learn from experience, right?
