The Court of Souls?:

http://royalroadl.com/fiction/6545

In case anyone else likes Andur's stories on RRL, this is his newest work.

Only 9 chapters so far but he writes fast so it should fill up soon.

It should be noted that so far, this story seems to be rather darker than his previous ones.

The theme of this one is the life after death but before reincarnation, basically something like purgatory.

For those who don't know this author should really check out some of his other stories.

He's one of the best authors on RRL, updates regularly and his stories are all top quality.

In case anyone is looking for a good sci-fi virtual reality story:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DFCNAPG

You can read it for free here:

but I think the author (and most of us fans) would prefer if you bought it since he's a student and needs money.

It would also probably motivate him to write more since he wouldn't need to find a job if the book does good in selling.

And the guy deserves it.

I've been reading the series since chapter one and it really is great.

Good story pacing, character progression, interesting and immersive plot, you name it, the book has it.

Author really deserves some recognition.

Firestaff is finished, as it's continuation Pyrosian or something like that and I'm not sure but I think Subjugation is still ongoing.

From your description, I'm fairly interested in the subjugation series, can you tell me more about it?

You should find anything you want to know on that site.

Life with Alpha (highly unethical uses of AI and cloning)

A Fresh Start (guy gets a do-over on life, very well written, stupidly massive work)

Sword Saint: A New Start (standard transportation to fantasy world, well written, guy unknowingly get geased by a goddess into being her chosen-one/paladin/champion)

Milady and the Dragon (book series posted to a forum back in the 80's, romance, story revolves around several generations of shape shifting dragon/human mages)

Battlemage (author Risq, series 1 & 2, heavy elements of loss, healing, and romance, high fantasy, lots of magic)

Sea King (hard to describe, medieval dystopian swashbuckling super-soldier mercenary turns on previous employer for grievances)

Always on Guard (a medieval guard's life, character development is fantastic)

Daze in the Valley (...dude conquers the L.A. porn scene... seriously. Fantastically written and awesome character development, stupidly massive work)

Much of storiesonline.net's best stuff has been slowly gutted for sale on amazon by (hopefully) the original authors. Like 'The adventures of Pervikar.' It's the nature of the beast, Amazon's taken the best material from storiesonline.net, which took over for asstr.org (which has always been a broken mess), which was a posting & hosting server/site for dozens of other nitche sites that have mostly moved on. Like nakedblades.org, home to D&D sexytime stories.

I follow a few of those stories on the site, mainly Sea King and a few more (free account so I have to be picky what I read) and I absolutely have to thank you for these. Sword Saint I have started on already and it seems fun in these few first chapters and I've bookmarked Always on Guard.

Maybe Battlemage also, not sure since I don't really like darker stuff with character death or too much suffering. I'm a sucker for "Disney endings" myself.

So there, a thank you from me for the recommendations.
