I'll miss this site a heck of a lot... Been a member 2013 and been reading here since 2012... But unfortunately, goodbye is inevitable. Goodbye, the few people I knew here, and the handful that recognized me by my pixel snail and the fact that I only commented on shoujo manga! I'll miss you!

Um, I basically found out that my favourite series of light novels, which had been dropped by the previous translator; was picked up again by someone else. I was mega excited about it at first; but it quickly became clear to me that the new translator was definitely not a native English speaker.
Unfortunately, the convoluted state of the translations is beyond the point of a mere annoyance - none of the emotion gets through. It's highly disappointing as the characters are actually ve...

At least not nearly as often as you wonder why you waited so long.
One point, re feral cats, independent cats, etc.: There's a critical period for human contact. If kittens get enough warm/loving human contact at the right age they'll tend to seek it out the rest of their lives. If not, they'll be more stand-offish most of the time.

@ Natureboy: Exactly. The aforementioned Stripey was born a feral, after all. xD His mom is starting to warm up to us, and I can pet her sometimes, but I get what you mean - she'll never behave like a true housecat.
