Shen Feng

Before Shen Feng shot that arrow, he felt like he had sight of the entire hall around him. For some strange reason he felt his body pulsate with energy, and his eyes were locked onto his target. In that moment he knew exactly where she was going and where to shoot. Once he had released the bow string and fired the arrow, he knew it. It had been the perfect shot, and a powerful one at that. Better than any other shot he had taken in all his years of archery. However once the arrow had broken through the woman’s leg, the sensation he had felt disappeared as quickly as it came. For a second he stood there motionless, wondering what had just happened to him. After coming back to reality he shook his head, then ran his fingers through his hair.

The assassin would have surely died from the poison that coated his arrow, Still, Sun Zhao served the most devastating blow himself with that spear of his. The speed and precision that spear was thrown with made sure that she would be stopped there for good. Sun Zhao was clearly a ruthless warrior, but it was Joshua Clement that had ended her suffering. Shen Feng noticed that Joshua had shot him a look, but only barely. Which was expected from an assassin of his caliber. Shen Feng knew he was being observed but he wasn’t sure why.

After the assassin had finally been dealt with and killed, Shen Feng let out a sigh of relief. It was definitely a brutal death, but he knew that it had to be done. Even if Shen Feng hadn’t acted, it was guaranteed  that she would have been put down anyways. If there was one good thing that came out of this, it was the fact that he had the opportunity to see General Xin Fai, and Wei Xiang in action. If he was going to be working alongside these two, then it was important to see how they handled themselves. Shen Feng was obviously impressed to say the least. However it did surprise him to see Xin Fai show some sort of pity towards the assassin. Shen Feng was certainly learning a thing or two about about the people here today. He then heard Xin Fai call out to him.

You are coming along with me to my camp. My troops are already stationed outside the city.

“Alright.” Shen Feng said as he place his bow on his back. “However I’m certain that we won’t need that many troops. I’m not a General, and I’m sure you know that I have next to no experience with wars.” The Quickshot Archer had been on a number of tracking and assassination missions, and he knew that it was always much harder when they knew that he was coming. “One thing I am good at however, is tracking people down. It’s always better to stalk your prey when they’re unaware of your presence.” Twenty thousand troops moving about would alert the entire country, which is something that Sun Zhao definitely did not need right now. Especially with this recent assassination attempt. Shen Feng just hoped that Xin Fai would listen to his advice.

Flynn Walker in A Fine Mess

Apparently this woman was really desperate to get her son. Judging by the amount of money they were given as the first half of their payment, it was very important to get this boy back to her. The pay didn’t really matter to Flynn, and he knew Sidney would have taken the job no matter what the money looked like. Like any other job, Flynn’s priority was to just help people in need. This time it was reuniting a mother and son, which made Flynn feel as if he was some sort of hero. The circumstances were definitely strange though. Why would their client have to partake in an exchange in order to get her son back? This made Flynn believe that their client’s son was probably kidnapped before hand.

This exchange didn’t seem to go well though. Judging by the two bodies and the amount of blood splattered all over the place, everything went wrong. The most concerning part of this scene was the fact that the son was nowhere to be found. Also the bodies belonged to a couple. Flynn looked at the two and noticed that they both had rings on, which made it clear that they were married. Now it looks as if the exchange had actually become a murder investigation. There were two questions that needed answers. Who killed these people, and where was the boy? After thinking for quite some time Flynn had noticed that Hopkins was staring out of his front pocket, bearing witness to this gruesome scene.

“Hopkins! Uhhhhmm…. look away! This violent scene can’t be good for your froggy mind!” Flynn said while hovering his finger in front of the frog’s eyes, trying to block it’s sight. Something then caught Flynn’s attention. He found a picture of the couple and a small boy with them. It was probably a family photo of some sort. Flynn took out the photo his client gave him and held it up to compare to the photo. It was then that Flynn made a shocking connection. The client was lying to them the whole time, the boy was actually the son of the dead couple. The elf decided that he would keep this a secret until he and Sidney left the penthouse.

Flynn walked over to Sidney to find the strange rants written in blood, and somewhat near that there was a pentagram which was also made with blood. Things were definitely getting more and more peculiar with every finding. “Yep, this is definitely a weird sight. I’m not so sure about the whole lottery thing though. You’re always thinking about money you know that?” Suddenly, a boy entered the room without any warning. Almost out of the blue, in fact. The awkward part about the whole situation was that he didn’t care at all about the two people in front of him.

Almost immediately after the kid greeted the two, Sidney did that thing that he was known to do. Ramble. This time Sidney went from taking offense to the kid’s remarks, to coming up with a new video called “Ripper Style”. Again it was about the money, which Sidney lived for apparently. Flynn couldn’t help but laugh at the idea though. “Hah! That’s actually a terrible idea, Sidney.”

Flynn decided that he was going to introduce himself to the boy that had randomly walked in. “Hello there, I’m Flynn Walker and I’m also a private investigator.” The elf then realized that he didn’t get the kid’s name. “Aaaaaand! Who are you?” Flynn always made new friends during an investigation, maybe this guy would be one of them.

All of a sudden, another seemed to have entered the room. People were just popping in from nowhere. This was possibly the weirdest crime scene that the two have been to. The woman who entered had a quite stern look about her. Once the woman had asked the three of them to leave, Flynn began to get stirred up. He actually found this quite rude. Before Sidney could snap on her though, Flynn decided to make it clear why they was there.

“Actually this IS our business, lady. This boy and I are both private investigators, and this crazy fellow here is my buddy.” Flynn said with a slightly annoyed look on his face and a furrowed brow. He then proceed to show her his badge. “Now then. Whooo are you!?” Flynn was now standing on tiptoe, trying to look a bit more official by making himself look taller. Little did he know he actually started to float off of the ground by just a little bit.
