You guys are missing the point of clubs. In the first place they're there to share what is best left outside of the forums.
It's pretty much like having 'Yuri Zahard FC' for Trebor and others to share Yuri Zahard fanart/pictures, 'Vocaloid FC' where people can share/get pics/vids of Vocaloids, 'Eroge Club' where maybe there'll be a few enthusiasts who can play a wide variety of VNs in Jap and can share their opinions (though that might be more suited to forums/chat channels that are more geared towards that e.g. anime-sharing, vndb and Micchi's blog, or even the extreme ones like 'DFC' (pun on 'delicious flat chest' and 'fanclub'), or we can roll back to the more ordinary ones such as photography habits (conversations and sharing of knowledge about cameras, manual adjustments etc.)

There are all sorts of clubs that can be formed, meant for a more purposeful yet still casual chat/sharing area as compared to the forums. However, it's also true that they are prone to dying out (hence the need for something like a club moderator). If anything, imagine the community/forums as a virtual school without the studying portion, and quite naturally 'clubs' in the 'school', as well as the 'student council' to manage them.

Still, in the end, I'm not saying that a clubs/social groups forum must/should be implemented. There definitely are pros and cons about it, and I honestly don't care if there are social groups or not. It'd be better if I actually saw constructive arguments/discussions about why social groups should or should not be implemented. Even if they may turn out to be tl;dr, at least grumpy/trebor will be able to see some valid, well-supported points on why they should or should not spend the effort in trying to establish social groups.

Isn't it present is a hell lot of mangas? (especially shounen/seinen?) I'll just spam titles regardless of whether they've been mentioned or not, bit lazy and tired right now.

is what we see now on a comic page. I suggest that the 'status' be changed to 'scanlation status:', this should fix all issues regarding whether the status refers to scanlation or manga status. If people wish to know the manga status and not the scanlation status, there's always mangaupdates.

Magi, but it actually depends on your preference.
among the list I don't read toriko or baby steps, and I personally think that Magi is the most interesting (shounen action + hint romance but no actual romance)
AKB49 is 2nd, because it's not as fast-paced/catchy but has a somewhat deep storyline for enjoying.
Arata Kangatari...I used to read it but currently still waiting for a chance to catch back up. But it's somewhat shoujo-ish or something and I found it a little...not interesting enough. (yeah man defeat = friendship all over again, somewhat cliche too)
