Made her myself, heh
- Natureboy and InChildlikeWonder like this
I am the nail of my ships
Timber is my body, the winds are my blood
I have created over a thousand ships
Unaware of hate, nor aware of fear
Withstood pain to create even more ships, waiting for one to set sail
I have no regrets, this is the only route
My whole life was an unlimited ship works

Heya, Bacon here.
Just wanted to share a thing I was working on, for the 2017 yuri game jam.
It's called Deliverance, a non-commercial neo-noir VN.
Here's a devlog thread, if that strikes your interest.
We're also on itch.io!
Currently looking for an artist to help with CGs. o>
Thanks for dropping by.

It looks like your default currency isn't USD, so that's why you're getting that extra screen. Anything roughly equivalent to 10USD is sufficient for donation benefits. I can convert any paypal supported currency myself as well.
Oh, my issue wasn't the currency. It was the missing part of the screen, for some reason the button wouldn't show up for me.
But it's all good now. For some reason it worked properly today, so I guess it's not a browser problem.

If people are still interested, perhaps I should draft some co-GMs to help me translate the bare bones of the updates into proper ones
*raises hand*
I mean, I also post pretty damn slowly, but I really don't want to see this RP fizzle out, so...

I for one don't mind if this RP gets updated slowly.
Here's to hoping it won't live up to its name though!

Amaris, the Eternal
Flashes of light and shadow took me in and out of consciousness. Perhaps I have died a thousand deaths over without being aware. When will this end? It was then that I began to fall. The darkness enshrouded me once more, fragments of the previous moments slipping away from my mind’s eye.
When my eyes opened, I stared, unmoving, at the brightness that surrounded me. It was not disembodied or ethereal; instead, it shone with color, filtered by glass of various hues. I sat up, relishing the feeling of my body against the cool, obsidian floor. To my right was an altar adorned with precious metals, made with such craftsmanship that even the beasts and men engraved upon it seemed to be alive, frozen forever in their conflict. I would have touched it, but I was not alone.
Finally, I stood up and acknowledged the winged woman with a short bow. Perhaps I was intruding-a place such as this might not be open to strangers.
“Pardon me. I-“
She cut me off, her voice calm but flippant. “You are The Eternal. Yes, I already know.”
“The… Eternal? Well, I didn’t know that.” I looked down and caught a glimpse of my hand, which now bore a strange circular symbol.
“I am Liesaerl von Asteria, acting governor of Em, the nation that floats in the sky.”
My mouth opened and closed but I could not think of anything to say. Liesaerl combed a feather from her great wings, then sighed softly and pointed to a window to my right. I nodded and went over to see for myself, this nation of Em.
“The clouds!” I shouted. “How is this possible?”
Beneath the tower was solid ground, and a town as far as the eye could see. But the horizon was markedly different; where there should have been a sea of water, here was a sea of cotton-white clouds. Faced with such a fantastic environment and various other curiosities, my body decided that it had enough. A cavernous growl rumbled through my stomach, and for the first time, I realized how hungry I was.
The governor merely raised an eyebrow and tilted her head. My face grew warm; an intruder and a famished one at that, not exactly the first impression I was trying to make.
“Come, Eternal one. We shall speak of these matters over a meal. It would be poor manners to keep a guest hungry.”
“Very well. Thank you, Governor.”
Was there anything else I could have said?

It actually wasn't until my last two years in high school that I tried to write, though I was the sort of kid who would read non-academic related books in the back of the room while the teacher was blabbering on and on about something. My start in writing was likely motivated by the need to escape boredom. I started out with fanfiction (surprise, surprise) then I moved on to dabble in poetry (not my strongest suit, but it's fun~), then eventually tried short stories (they're usually less than 5000 words, I suppose I have to work on my stamina or focus or something). Then I discovered Batoto's RP section in college, and here I am today.

Between En’s radiance and the void’s peace, I found myself torn. Her hands promised a future, but for it I must suffer. Why must I suffer? The darkness called out to my soul, seducing me with the serenity of eternal rest.
Emptiness. To be free from pain, I must empty my mind.
Detachment. To be free from pain, I must forget my heart.
Death. To be free from pain, I must silence my soul.
From the depths of my being, I began to feel strife. Now that I no longer suffer, was this all that darkness had to offer? To become one with it is to lose myself.
Selfishness, perhaps, that I listened to the stirrings of my spirit and chose life.
“Your loyal vessel, Amaris, shall accept this burden.” I took her hands in mine. “Oblivion be damned.”
Name: Amaris, the Eternal.
Weapon: En of the Endless Cycle [Soul-Forged]
- Sigil of the Endless Cycle:
Combat Orientation: Balanced
Element:
+ Primary
+ Time - One of the two elements that alters the law of the universe. Allows only very limited skill and spells, which are GM-controlled.
+ Secondary
+ Darkness - Having an all-consuming property, it can absorb and/or negate other's skills and defenses. Though it has many utility spells and skills, there are not many that involves direct attacking.
+ Light - Having an all-embracing property, it specializes on wide-spread effects, be it healing or damaging. A very well-balanced element in terms of offense-defense-support spell / skill availability.
Skills:
+ Tier 0
- Weapon Summon : The ability to call your Soul-Forged weapon to your side at will (and sometimes, the weapon's own).
- Weapon Transformation : The ability to shift En into various polearms. (Base = Monk's Spade)
- Blessing of the Soul-Forged: When outside of battle, the energy your soul-forged weapon exude will repair all the damages done to your physical body. Greater wounds take longer to heal, but anything short of missing limbs and/or organs should heal given enough time.
- Superior Intelligence : Your character starts with increased memory and cognitive ability, and has higher aptitude in increasing this stats
- Superior Willpower : Your character starts with increased mental fortitude and resistance to magic, and has higher aptitude in increasing this stats
+ Tier 1
- Ataraxia : [WILL-based stat] Amaris is able to withstand the sensations of extreme physical pain. This makes it difficult for enemies to decrease her focus or aim when she is attacking or casting spells, even as they cause severe injuries.
- Scutum Amicitiam : When fighting with allies, Amaris can choose to take a blow for them, sparing them from any damage whatsoever. Can be used more than once per combat encounter, but this depends on her endurance and physical condition after taking the blow.

And here's the CS!
do forgive the gratuitous latin
I'm keeping Ataraxia, but I'm currently undecided about two of the skills, one of which is a self-sacrificing block that absorbs all damage and shields the target/s, or a critical hit enhancing skill (dunno how you're gonna manage the multiplier for that fayfay, might be a headache to implement >_>)
was thinking of my character as some kind of failed paladin in the past, which inspired the blocking skill. of course, her identity is mostly speculation on my part!

- Feel free to make any skills and descriptions. For stats affinity, these are available: AGI, DEX, STR, DEF, INT, WILL.

OR
- Oculus Aquilae : [INT-based stat] With each turn in combat, Amaris is able to spot an opponent's possible weak points and increase chances for a critical hit. The boost can also apply to allies if she shares the information about where or how to attack.

Aww, that boy in X's update reminds me of Garm ^3^
Man, Paper got 'Time' affinity. That's some sweet rolling right there. Congrats. :3
Also I like that me and Munnin both got 'Darkness' affinity, and we both have similar horns on our heads.
Actually, I wonder if that roll's really a random result... or if the GM has some nefarious plans up his sleeve!
I just can't wait for the two to lock horns and fight like angry goats.
