I like this idea, I never read Yaoi I never read Shoujo and others, if a latest release came I would not want it to be a genre I never read. A filter button would come in handy for that such as the one for language.

I agree with removing of rating on groups, for example if a person gets mad of what a group does or drops a chapter or anything due to quality they just put one rating to vent out. That discourages groups in a manner of speaking. And plus its just pointless.
A good function to replace it with would be a "Like" Function like the ones in our profile, if a user does not like the group they simply do not click the like button, but if a user likes the group they do.

Most readers dont really care about the scanlating actually doing the series, they cannot even wait 2 days at most, they would just make a request for a group to do it, and some aggressive groups would take the project thus causing friction among other scanalation groups.
