Why would someone want to steal batoto accounts/emails?

Cuz most people use same username/password for almost everything. This includes FB,Skype, Bank accounts and stuff.

I recommend adding warnings to WOT for this and any other site found, Unfortunately you need several reviews before is validated but if every Batoto user did it it will be quickly flagged as a scam by the WOT extension.  https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/cpoe.xyz

Like many of you, I also was a "lurker" (someone who just reads or brose around without participating). But then later I decided to register so that I can comment on series I like and to also keep a bookmark.

I ALWAYS avoid websites that forces me to register to see their content. There are many services and websites that I tought sounded nice or was recomende to me, but I never used them siply because it was only available for members only. How can I know what do they really offer without me seeing it? Why should I register when I don't know their quality or whatever or not it meets my expectations?

This is very important to consider.

It is very bad idea to make batoto for registered users only. Maybe we can find a compromise like some other people has been saying. And it would be interesting to see what we all come up with, but for now I think we all agree that turning it to 100% registered users only is a bad idea that will turn off many of us.
