Do you mean One Manga?
The manga publishers(in the US, Japan, elsewhere) wanted online readers to be shutdown for copyright infringement. One Manga complied while MangaFox and whoever else didn't. A lot of other online readers popped up afterwards and in my estimation Batoto is the only one that can be called 'One Manga's Successor'.
I disagree, onemanga had completely different policies. And they made money out of scanlations too.
Closest to current batoto was Mangatoshokan, which was hit hard by US Publishers, they have respected scanlators will, did not compress image's and left it in unchanged quality, never interfered with credits and stuff.
If im not wrong, they used slogan "From scanlators for scanlators", rings a bell?

there is a possibility, someone from N**z, using a software that can rip manga.. I've already see a software that can leech easily from Batoto.. well, there is no solution for this.. we can only hope in their self-awareness..
I'd like you to read other people's posts properly before writing such thing.
It feels weird to scold a moderator that way, but oh well .
As long as it's ripping with software, there's always a way to counter. And i wrote few of them in my previous posts.

1. Splitting the image file into multiple small images of various sizes. (check the mangastream site - they did it that way.), people still rip off their releases, but it's done manually with print screen and mostly - paint since they are amateurs (the ripper kids i mean).
2. Using Javascript to protect the imagefiles. Javascript gives alot of possibilities. Original japanese publishers use javascript online readers to protect their images, quite succesfully - i have to add.
