I hate waiting for a bajillion different things to update...

Manga, webcomics, fanfics. Even novels, I guess, if you want to count sequels as an update. You lose a lot of the reading experience when it's broken into a chapter every other month, or two pages over the space of a week.

I had a great-aunt who made it to 103. Pretty crazy tbh. Hopefully being 103 is more fun in 80 years

The nurse that comes every day found him on the ground, he was unconscious for a while apparently. They don't know if the fall caused the hematomas or if they caused the fall since there are some that are deeper than others. Wouldn't do much good to know anyway.
And he's 93 so no surgery.

Sorry to hear that...those kinds of things are always stressful/terrible. Is he still all here mentally?

There was a bright red mr. cardinal and a junco--both of these are songbirds btw-- hopping around under a bush on my walk to campus this morning. Yaaaaay junco!

It's just above NY minimum wage. A lot above GA minimum wage though, lol

~3-4 km road-wise between town signs, ~4-5 between built-up areas, like 2-3 in a straight line methinks (separated by a forest and a hill), ~11 if we include getting from my home to the part of that town where the dentist is. In regards to neighbouring places, everything is a stone's throw away from each other here (and in many cases you pretty much have "end of town/village/city" signs doubling as "start of another town/village/city" ones).

 

I wonder how much higher gasoline prices here matter in distance evaluations o: like, how much does it cost to drive 1, 10, 100 kilometres? and at what distance do we get out of the "it's just for shopping/whatever" zone and into the "it's not worth it without something having to be done at the destination" one?

 

doesn't it make cycling/walking useless though? :​o and at the same time, doesn't it give birth to ppl who can't move through a supermarket without a scooter? D:

Yeah thinking about it, you can get to a couple different towns in fifteen minutes from my university. But they all also fall under the overarching name of the city

Hmmm, I think it's just lucky that the US has lower gas prices considering its size. The US refines a lot of the world's gasoline, and exports it to places like the EU. The closer you get to the Gulf, the lower gas prices tend to be. Of course, they're not so cheap that you don't have to factor them into the costs of long trips...

Well, yeah. Cycling and walking is pretty much useless unless you're in a big city. Even in my hometown, which is a decent sized city, there's no point in walking places since the dumbass city planners didn't bother with sidewalks anywhere.

I mean, it could. I think that's just one of many factors.

Well, looks like I didn't miss much.

I managed to pull off getting all of my poetry workshop assignments finished--and printed! in time. Felt like I successfully pulled off a heist. Finished my poem about half an hour before the class.

Why would you do that to yourself if you're not a math or engineering major? :/
Linear algebra is one of the courses I didn't like much even tho it's used a fair bit in what I do.

Required for my major. I want my goddamn bachelors

Most people seem to have moved on (most likely became adults and got hit with responsibilities). Mostly only old/bitter/pessimistic/grumpy ones still around.

Yeah I dunno, that's not exactly a natural mode for me anyway. I'm trying to use my planner to keep me on track? I just need to actually check it. And this is only my second full week of classes >:/

For me I just sort of pulled back from internet socialization in general. I don't even know why, but there ya go. Wasn't you guys, just the internet overall?
