Kaiouki fans, when and how did you first find it?

As for myself, I first stumbled across Kaiouki when I was a runny-nosed brat in Junior High, waaaaay back in the days. The art style was kinda old, even by the standards of the day. If you've read Shura no Mon, you'll notice that there haven't been any major changes in oh.. 20+ years? So, I was kinda reluctant to give it a go.. but my friend told me it was a great read, so I gave it a shot, and voila.. I've been twiddling my thumbs year after year, restlessly waiting for the next volume of Kaiouki to be released.

I just feel like: "Why didn't I know about this before?!"
I love the setting, how it is set in the future (~4000 AD) and the word "science" has the same ring to them as the word "magic" does today.
I'm looking forward to future chapters, seeing how this thing called 'science' will effect the countries, and how the paths of the characters we've already seen will cross again and maybe recross several times after that. I just get the feeling that that will happen, but not sure. If it does though... it will be epic~
So basically, I'm a new fan. Thanks for your hard work on the chapters FenrysWolf
EDIT: By the way, how long is this manga?

I found it while looking for other works by Masatoshi Kawahara, I really liked Shura no Toki.

Shura no Mon is my first experience with mr. Masathosi. I am in love. All the mutsu characters are the epitome of awesomeness and badassery. Hell I don't even know the word badass back then and when I do I automatically associate it with Mutsu. Badass = Mutsu. Then the period of sadness and empty feeling when I finished them (while waiting berserk and ryuroden releases which took AGES). Then I stumble upon kaiokuki. Then manly tears ensues.

I bought a few starting volumes when I was in Thailand. At first the art looked so simple (low score), and I didn't get hold of the story. Since I had too much time, I re-read and understood the story more, and somehow I felt more fun. (Most mangas got boring after re-read. This one is quite strange, might be just me.) After that it's become one of my favourites. (Which are Berserk, then Kaiouki, and then One Piece.)
PS. Not sure when I found this series, probably around year 2008.
