He really needs to stop introducing all these new characters. Honest to god, I've never been bored reading Toriko, except for the last 2 chapters. Reading the name and specialty of x amount of chefs that I will probably never see again just feels like a waste of space. When you have a tournament in a battle manga you don't introduce ALL the participants. It's pure insanity. I still love Toriko though, just felt like I needed to vent a little bit about this because it's just... completely preposterous.

I disagree. We're being shown numerous characters with strong and different personalities and cooking styles; the people who are the top chefs in a hugely populated world. We can imagine their pasts to some degree. It's better than having a bunch of nameless or faceless people and being told they somehow earned their rankings, without any insights into how they did so. I'd be happy if more chefs were introduced, or if the chefs we know had even more depth.

It was the WORLD cooking bowl, where the top chefs from the entire world show up, you would be bitching if it didn't name anyone. I love seeing all these other great chefs, besides Legendary ones. it was cool seeing what Komatsu is up against, and who he is going to "competing" against in the future, gtanted we all know the only ones that have any chance to keep up with him are the Legendary and high ranking chefs.

Toriko is good and its plot twits and revelations are really cool when they appear but, we don't know but it looks like it will be time a major star has finally died, that being Ich. Weird since he was last seen in Gourmet World wielding the sword to prepare "air"
