Don't worry, I have read until the third volume of the novel, so far their relationships is more like siblings rather than romance, and their relationship never really went above that. I could say that the author did made use of the settings Initiators and there are valid reasons that they were young and it lead to many sad and dark settings and they are not meant for the ecchi or fanservices that you regularly see them nowadays for similar settings.

I'm pretty sure nothings wrong with this manga. It's the people who think this is a pedo manga who have something wrong with them >_>. It's pretty obvious he's being shipped NOT with the 10 year old.
Kids tend to love their fatherly figure, it may go a bit too far here but it's mostly played for laughs.
