Okie dokie.
Well I decided to go ahead the other day and start a bit of a DeathNote uploading marathon...you know, for fun -__- *shrug*
Anyway, every now and then when I go to upload a chapter the upload will stop at a random percent, sit there for a bit then
up pops an error box saying:
IOError
The page then refreshes and I get the red bar across the top of the page that says:
Upload Failed. Please make sure all the required fields are selected correctly.
The thing is, everything was filled out correctly, and in most cases if I just try again it will will work fine the next time
through, however some chapters I had to try and up load 5-10 times and there was one chapter in particular that I stopped
bothering to even try counting but needless to say it took somewhere around 20 minutes for me to finally get it to upload.
I do realise that Australia's internet is not exactly renowned for being good/reliable/fast/functioning so I'm wondering if I'm
doing something wrong and/or if it's my 'fabulous' internet, and the problem is on my end of the line, or if its a problem with the site.
Just thought I would bring this up since I plan to continue to contribute, but this is making it quite difficult and frustrating.

IOError means that there was an error reading the file. Perhaps it was opened with another program and something was being modified? It's hard to say the exact cause.
Either that, or my server's hard drive halted. In which case, everyone would be shut out of the site (temporarily).
But given that the flash uploader was not really programmed by me, I'm not sure of it's full extent to such error message. It is also possible that any temporary connection halt can cause it to think that the file could not be read.
Bue regardless of which of the two problem, it's not a issue really fixable by me.

Yeah, I suspect the connection. Considering her being in Australia.

Could be, perhaps someone is uploading the manga at the same time as you or something? because when using created uploaders most of the time each upload does not have an unique name which might cause a conflict between two uploaders or something??
This is not my fault!

Regardless of the real file name being uploaded, the file that's saved as on the server is a unique name in the moment of upload and after storing the files. So, there's never a need to worry for multiple people uploading at the same time.
