Uhhhhh chap 42... I guess that's the "main" plot.

Pretty weird stuffs...

So, we got some commentary on Obama, GMOs, and big agriculture conglomerates.

The kid at the end went with Mr. Pauler, right?

Yeah, I'd been wondering when the aliens would show back up, seems like we've had at least a few allusions to them off and on through the story in a few different contexts.......and yeah, looked like he went with him finally. Though even that (along with the whole Mr. Pauler character for that matter) was somewhat ambiguous as to who was really a "good guy" or "bad guy". Yeah, always random, you just really never know what you're going to get from chapter to chapter.

And wow, was that about an ugly little "behind the scenes" family life in ch 41? Yikes, "oh yeah, I hate you..." straight to her dad's face.......ouch.  >_<

Well, not Obama.  That president was black, but clearly NOTHING like Obama, whose instinct when presented with a financier would be to kneel and approach from the rear rather than hang him high.  I suppose it could be a commentary in that sense . . . "What if the US had gotten an Obama that really was change you could believe in?"

As to Mr. Pauler . . . well, he may or may not be a "good guy" but I have to figure that if aliens snatched/infected my dad and someone was shooting them, I'd be on his side until I found out different.

There's a question:  Do you think those people were doppelgangers, replacements for people who were removed but maybe still exist somewhere, or the actual people but infected with alien stuff and effectively dead?

The kindergarten chapters are always so cute, those and the chapters with the all the little sibling angel-girls..............and I've got to say, that was one impressive turtleneck sweater.  O_O

Is everyone in this a lesbian?

You mean in ch 48 with the mermaid? Wasn't that a boy character? Geez, I honestly get a little confused about some of the side characters in this one. First off there sometimes seems to be a never-ending supply of them, and on top of that, a lot of them are kind of androgynous........yeah, I thought that was a "straight" couple.......or as "straight" as they could be in story with cross-species dating.  :D

Oh, those girls, I gotcha. Yup, potential lesbians, without a doubt.

Anyone have an idea about what the exact discrimination in chapter 49 was?  If they mentioned it then I must have missed it.

I couldn't quite figure it out either . . . mindblowingly, in some sense it seemed like the Nazis were anti-racist.  Like they'd decided that some new form of prejudice was the most important and so people who still hated each other over species were scum.  But I couldn't figure out what their gig actually was supposed to be.

The only thing I can really think of is religion and sexual orientation.  It would have to be something that isn't bound by race (Which I feel I shouldn't call the separate people, but it is the only word that seems to fit for me)

Wow, I'll give the author credit, this is always random enough to make me wonder what'll be in it next. Or at least seems random maybe.   :D

Wow, so which one's creepier, either of these two guys or the dog-girl from ch 8.5?  O_o

I'm personally guessing it was politically based given what we saw........you were either "one of us" or......well......you were screwed. Though yeah, just my guess, that it was just something arbitrary. Like the guy said, "one of humanity's hopeless traits", even if you're the same in every way, we'll still find some way to "group" and separate one another.

I was expecting a slightly ecchi but cute comedy, but dam, this comic actually made me re-think about life on Earth as we know.

It's really got a lot going on, doesn't it? It's got the cute and some of the ecchi, but there's really a lot more depth than you'd expect on first glance.
