What are your favourite indie acts/songs?

independent music has no specific musical style. i'm curious what kind of cool stuff you guys listen to

i love Austra and Ladylike Lily though right now i'm listening to Solange - Losing You. I think it sounds interesting.

Well, as far as "Indie" goes, I think you mean artists not affiliated with a non-independent record label?

I've heard only one song from Panama ;_; Hope and Despair. I liked it though!

I'm soooo addicted to Haim! My favorites are definitely Don't Save Me, Forever, and Falling. That new remix by psychemagick is really amazing if you haven't heard it yet.

Jessie Ware is a little more soul-ish. You should listen to "Running" and "What you won't do for love" (Yes that's a cover of the 80's song). 

 

Blood Orange cowrote Everything's Embarrassing and is helping out with most of Solange's songs. You should listen to "Sutphin Boulevard".

 

For Panama, listen to "Don't stop the fire", and for Chvrches (Really, it's Churches, but...) "Lies" is one of the more popular one/ones I like. 

 

Do you like Miami Horror? If you haven't heard them before, you should listen to "I look to you", "Holidays", and "Imagination" to start.

CHVRCHES! YAY! I've only listened to a few of Jessie Ware and Sky Ferreira's songs though. Plus just a snippet of one song from Haim. But it sounded really awesome. Do you have any other Haim's songs in mind that should be listened?
