Just click the button that says "(Mark this forum as read)" on top right corner of the forum if it's giving you false report or "Mark Board As Read" at the very bottom of this site.

I like the look. 
So too bad. Plus, already paid and no refunds probably.
As for locking, don't bother. There's no point. And... try not to clump random administrative duties with other issues.
