I love Ito's work, but unfortunately, I don't have a good stomach for over-the-top visual horror... ^^; I'm looking for some of his "tamer" stories (as in tame for him and featuring minimal gore and visual horror) and possibly gradually work my way up to some of his worse works (not Glycerine, because from what I've heard that one is just disgusting). The ones I've read so far include:

-Most of the stories in Flesh Colored Horror
-Earthbound
-The Fashion Model (well, a video of it on YouTube, anyway)
-Enigma of Amigara Fault
-The Bully
-Long Dream
-Voices in the Dark
-In the Valley of Mirrors
-Thing that Drifted Ashore
-The Ghost of Golden Time
-The Library of Illusions
-Anything but a Ghost
-The first two chapters of Mimi no Kaidan

There's probably a couple others I can't remember. So, what are some other "tame" stories by Junji Ito? Also, anything with bugs are out. I have a nearly certifiable phobia of bugs and I don't need to make it any worse.

The Souichi stories are pretty safe, but like cat diaries they are mostly just comedy.
Otherwise here’s what I can think of at the top of my mind:

* The Gift Bearer

Oh and stay the hell away form A Doll's Hellish Burial/Hell'o Dollies.

Update: I've read all the suggestions here except Demonology and all the stories on Batoto except for Slug Girl (slugs are bugs, and I despise bugs) and Frankenstein (the latter I'm saving for Halloween day). I've also read the majority of the Yami no Koe collection (minus Glycerin) and The Bully collection. I'm planning to look into Tomie next. Any other suggestions?
