One thing I haven't come across in a "sports" manga is competitive video games. What better game to revolve around than Starcraft! It could be totally nonsensical with players that have specialized or even meta-human skills a la Eyeshield 21. I think it'd be really cool. I mean, if Yu Gi Oh and Beyblade and a whole bunch of other stuff can be successful, why can't Starcraft? It's wildly popular in Korea and elsewhere, professional Starcraft has existed for years and continues to grow even in America with professional gaming leagues like MLG and IPL. Maybe a manhwa already exists (being Korean) that I don't even know about. Along those lines, is there even a decent manga about video games at all? I know some mangas reference games, but I don't know any famous ones that specifically revolve around gaming.

Also the closest manga/manhwa that revolves around gaming is BTOOOM!, which is more of a psychological and survival one rather than actual gaming. Other than that sorry, but let me know if ya do find one

@Xx--Phoenix--xX: I totally forgot about the .Hack// series and the relatively new (right?) Sword Arts Online. .Hack// has always intrigued me when i watched the anime in the States, but the stories were always really plodding along without anything really getting done. Are the manga's different?

Take note that StarCraft is a franchise owned by Blizzard Entertainment. While the tournaments are treated as a sport in Korea, for any derivative works like comic books that'd end up earning the author money (no idea what's the Blizzard's stance on for-fans-by-fans creations) they'd have to pay for rights to use it.
Not excluding the possibility of there existing some manga/manhwa about game tournaments where they play vaguely familiar GalaxySkill game.
