Uwah. I am a fan of this anime. I really liked the mystery horror genre. The art was great as well.

I just watched the raw for Sprout episode 4 and saw the trailer for the live action movie in the commercial. I want to see how they adapt it into a movie since the anime was interesting.

Hmm. Maybe we should discuss what "Another" have that would entice people to watch it and try it out. Also your perception, ideas and possible changes you want on it would do.

So I'll start it out!

As for me I learned about this anime due to my brother. I learned that it is horror type and that makes me more interested and excited for it. With such high expectations, the anime didn't failed me on the other hand. Honestly I'm quite confused at first. Who's dead? Is she dead? what's with that creepy table? etc.. etc. those are the typical questions I throwed. But after patiently watching all the episodes I believe I was satisfied with the story and how they wrapped up things. But I feel like there are some information lacking still which I think they must uncover. For the characters, I was disappointed with what happened to the head of countermeasures, Akazawa izumi. I prefer what they did in the manga.

Over all I will say that it has the proper mixture of horror, killings and mystery. Not so impressive but not also that poor rating. If you want a mind-bogging anime to watch, then go with this. If you already watched this, what can you say?

EDIT: Haven't heard of the Live action. Thanks for the information! Hmm. I wish they'll cover the killings pretty well. But if we'll consider the movie "Battle Royale" I guess they'll manage adapting the "Another" as Live Action.

Well, it took me some time to visit the forums again. Heheh.

Speaking of Another.

What attracted me most to it, when I first saw it at animecrazy.net was the nice animation.

A boy transfers to his mother's hometown. He goes to a new highschool and discovers that they have an extra student in class whom no one seems to see. She's a mysterious girl with an eye patch on her left eye. And what more, their class seems to be keeping a dark secret--their class is cursed.

I like mystery and horror in fiction of any forms. I'm not really a fan of final destination (although i watch them) but they do seem similar in a way.

Even though I am a writer myself and create my own mysteries, I was not able to anticipate what happened at the end. In fact, I am even confused by a mere single line that the main character said at the end before he finished off the dead person in their class. if there is anyone who understood why he said those words before he went for the kill, please tell me. I even rewatched the anime but i could not still get it. T_T

But overall, it was a good anime.

I found the dolls pretty and eerie. I actually fancy those things especially on horror stories. It was a good symbolization.

The characters were all good looking as well. Heheh. I really wanted some romance, but i guess not on this anime.

There is also a special for the anime. It shows the prologue of the anime. It was the story of Misaki and her twin.

I found out about Another from Khrazy_one. I figured, hell, why not check it out.
I only have one complaint about the anime. That damn opening, I was expecting horror and thimgs I saw in the opening, but we got nothing of that
Still, I liked it very much. Animation and coloring. But those dolls True work of art.
