This is something that has bugged me for the longest time... how the hell can mercelina have gotten preganant with Asuha and Astarotte at the same time? I probably sound like a idiot asking this sort of question but the more i tried to ignore it the more bothered by it i got.

Since they are both the same age it makes no sense to me... unless there is some difference in age.

The more i think the more stupid it seems to be bothered at all by this.

Wait what? It’s been a while since I’ve read this manga (why is it not getting updated…?), so I don’t quite remember well, but you’re saying that Asuha and Astarotte are sisters? O_o isn’t Astarotte the MC’s daughter, from when he banged the queen when he was younger?

nope Astarotte has a different father forgot his name (died due to an illness)

Asuha is the child of Naoya and Queen Mercelída

so Astarotte & Asuha are half-sisters since they have the same mother which is Queen Mercelída

It was also said somewhere that a succubus pregnancy term was shorter and said Asuha is a few months older than Astarotte. If I remember correctly it was 4 months. Asuha is the child of Naoya and Queen Mercelída and Astarotte is the child of Queen Mercelída and some guy from the succubus world who died. She was possibly a forced marry the other guy for family status. Probably also the reason why she hid Asuha with Naoya in the human world.

The queen's sisters, who were older than her, got into a little poison game for the throne, as a result they killed each other and Mercelida inherited.

She fears the same thing will happen if people find out about Asuha. The different political factions will pit them against each other and she doesn't want to see that happen, thus the big secret. Asuha knowns that Astarotte is her sister but Astarotte doesn't know.

I just noticed something odd. Was Queen Mercelída's age when she met Naoya alterted in the scanlation. I was pretty sure she was 16 but in the scanlation it said she was 18.

Yeah... i found out while re-reading although tbh i was confused and suprised that i overlooked/forgot something so important... Tbh i'm kinda suprised the Queen kept Asuha's birth a secret since shortly after giving birth she would have been pregnant with astarotte.... So she must have being in contact with her husband to be while she was still pregnant with Asuha.

Here's a good question: how did Naoya explain to his parents that he, a fifteen year old, had a three year old daughter (Asuha)?
Also, my theory on why Mercelida left Asuha with Naoya: remember how he said he was lonely a lot? Maybe she left Asuha with him to keep him company. And as he said to Mercelida, ever since then his life wasn't boring (paraphrasing). So maybe that's why

I follow the raws, so that I knew about. What I don't know is wtf is being said. Also, I still say a big reason why Asuha was left with Naoya is to keep him company. Furthermore, I want to know how he managed to explain to his parents why a three-year-old was living with them, whether or not he said she was his daughter. And if he did say that she was his daughter, how did he explain that AND what did his parents think when they learned their teen boy had a child?

in anime Mercelída's husband was similar to Naoya in character(he was kind, nice), but don't know if this is shown anywhere in manga.

i think Asuha was left to Naoya, because there was chance she could be a pure human and as heir succubus is needed.

i think Asuha didn't develop into succubus, because there was no magic in human world.

 

i didn't see raw's only anime + translated part of manga.

That makes sense as to why Asuha awakens her Succubus traits later on but doesn't make sense as to why she was left with Naoya. Mercelina was afraid of what would happen if word got out that she had a daughter that wasn't born from another demon-ish guy (idk, it's politics). I still think that the fact that Naoya was always lonely played a part of it though

I haven't read the earlier chapters for a long time, but I kind of remember that part of Naoya's backstory was that pretty much his whole family (parents included, I guess) gave him the cold shoulder when he presented Asuha as his daughter, and that's why he learned to survive by himself when still young.
