I don't, but i'm going to give a safe suggestion, listen to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iof5pRAIZmw while reading manga.......this hint will definitely give it away, has to do with fighting in the streets.
I took my own advice...it does make reading better.

I feel that the history tag is being misused. Just because Twilight is a historically bad fanfic DOESN'T mean it should be tagged historical. Okay, bad reference, Just because D. Gray Man is set in a FICTIONAL 19th century England DOESN'T mean it should be tagged historical, my reason being is that 19th century England is the best way to describe the present of this fictional universe, ERGO they are in their present and not in the past, and definitely not in OUR past, therefore this has NOTHING to do with history. While Rurouni Kenshin's story might be fictional, his story IS NOT SET IN FICTION!!!!! Being based 140 years ago in Kanto makes me believe the historical tag usage to be correct in this instance. Whats the difference, Rurouni Kenshin is traveling to REAL places, while Allen walker, is not. What I'm getting at is Rurouni Kenshin is living 140 years in the past in a non fictional world, while Allen Walker is living in his present in his fictional universe.

Nah, I don't listen to music while reading manga. =/ Would distract me from the plot.
I thought that as well, but then I found out bacon isn't the only thing that makes everything better.

Depending on my mood, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I usually don't tend to match what I'm listening to to what I'm reading. Though there have been songs that fit quite nicely, and I end up having them on repeat for a while while reading. ´∀`);; I like listening to Camisado by Panic! at the Disco whenever I read Eyeshield 21. I don't quite know why. And Phenomenon by Thousand Foot Krutch went well with reading Slam Dunk. ╮(─▽─)╭

I haven't tried nor thinking of trying. I can't seem to focus when there is a background music when I'm reading, might it be manga or novel.
I might sing the lyrics of the song when I do listen while reading and will result to no progress anymore. lol

To me it does it with novels, I can't listen to music while reading them, or maybe just instrumental since there's no lyrics. But with manga I can, it doesn't bother me, it's a bit weird.

While I don't remember particular titles, I usually (try to) listen to any music the author themselves mentioned in their manga, as doing so makes reading particular chapters more immersive.
And in general, I don't mind music as a background for (almost) any activity.
On a side note, zippyfan comment here mentions perfect BM for Sidonia.

Background music doesn't have to mean songs. And even if it's a song, it can be in some foreign language. xD

well I usually try to match music with books
classics / instrumental / ost / jazz / blues with novels and peaceful mangas/manhua
more catching beats with adventure based stuff or fights
i'm not in a disco when I read stuff , so the volume is pretty low, (90 % of accuracy )

I generally listen to music when reading manga. However, I also believe that some series are best suited to silence.
Some music I've listened to while reading manga include Rammstein. Specifically, I listened to Moskau by Rammstein and t.A.T.u. while reading Claymore. I felt it worked well during the

Other than that, I also had pandora radio set up with some preferences that helped make my manga reading experience more enjoyable. Celldweller was a particularly good artist to listen to while reading in my opinion.

Even without lyrics I tend to hum the song. With lyrics even in a foreign language song, I still tend to sing it. That's how it affects me. Haha. But most of the time, with the melody and such, I get to have good reveries in the middle of reading while listening in the song which still makes no progress in my reading.

Haven't seen you around in a while. o= Or maybe that's just me.
Also... I can only pay attention to one thing at a time. I tune everything else out so hearing music would be counterproductive.

Yeah, I was back from the grave! But I haven't seen you often around in the past few weeks too, or you're just in another corner of Batoto?

If I can't concentrate on the first try, I usually read that part again; and I feel that it is more interesting with music because every time I re/ read something, new feelings made their appearance
Even now writing comments I listen to music, LIFE GOES ON BY CHEMISTRY
