Hi,
I'm not trying to be a bitch, just meaning to help, I stumbled upon a few errors with Batoto, I'm reporting them with screenshots
** First**
A virus warning with, apparently, a member attachment, according to Avast
** Second **
Various problems with the Search functions
- From a user perspective, this is extremely confusing to see 3 search fields on Batoto
- Besides, only one of these search tools works well. I tried searching for the name "Sanbe Kei", the artist behind Cradle of Monsters And Hohzuki Island. He also drew the very funny ecchi manga called Nanako-san Teki Na Nichijou Re, under the Kawara Keisuke pen name, this is thanks to this one Sanbe Kei came back to my attention.
. The top search field works
. The middle search field does NOT work:
> searching Sankei Kei returns zero result, normal you may think since by default it searches the comic name
> but even if you click the Advanced Options button, manually check every comic genre, and make sure to type Sanbe Kei again in the [ "Author/Artist Name" Contains ] field, you still get zero results
. And the lower search field, the custom google search never finds anything either
--
There, that was it for the bug reports. Once again, I'm not trying to throw a rant or anything, just helping with a report about the broken stuff

1st search tool i think is the one built in the ipb
2nd is searching for comics only , if you bothered to read you would have noticed that , instead of searching authors
3rd one is google search , i dont think it needs much explanations , but it usually gives results as random pages from the comics your are searching for , rather than the comic page
I dont get any virus warnings when i searched the new content under the same conditions as you and i run a check on my laptop just in case something was infected , nothing found. Altough i do have to admit that avast isnt always that reliable , i dont see how the link mentioned there connects to batoto.

The second one, Loki, has in the advanced options the feature to search for the author name : I bothered to look. Even if the title in the left sidebar says "search for comic", if the advanced options page offers to search for author, I take it it searches for an author. But it doesn't work.
You're free not to care, me, I was meaning to help (reporting confusing or broken features), the rest is in your hands.

now that i look at it , google search seems to not work as good as before , i had to limit my search words a lot in order to bring some results

You seriously threw me in "what the holy fuck" mode, Loki, but I think I understood why, now ^^
Typing "sanbe kei" in the middle search. Nothing found.
Clicking the advanced search feature, author name, typing sanbe kei, hitting Enter or clicking Search on the bottom of the page.
Nothing found.
Oookay.
Clicking "resert all filters", trying again.
Same deal.
Oookay.
And then I finally notice that "sanbe kei" had been automatically written in the Comic Name line. that was the cause for the forum finding nothing ¬_¬
Sorry for the false alarm, then, but it's true the forum's software isn't helping, autofilling-in with the search term is a wrong idea, here.

Moved to support.
So..
1st one searches the section in which you are (main page, forum, comics, etc..)
2nd one is comic search by default, got advanced options.
3rd one.. google stuff.
But its been pretty much explained already anyway.

The comic search finds no result if there are some extra blank at the end (<Koganeiro > instead of <Koganeiro>)
Which means that if you make a copy paste and don't check if there was such blank (which happens quite often) then the result will fail.

I'll be sure to add a trimmer later... >.>The comic search finds no result if there are some extra blank at the end (<Koganeiro > instead of <Koganeiro>)
