You all know the arguements. I personally think if it's Seinen, it fails at being Seinen.
But I love it as a Shounen.

it's seinen, 100% seinen. how does it fail as seinen? you need to argument instead of just dumping that here.
I think the "-15" warning on the cover and the content of the books making them plastified in library as to avoid young children to open it prove it as seinen.

Just saying seinen, shounen, etc... isn't a genre.

Just saying seinen, shounen, etc... isn't a genre.

What he said. The shounen, seinen, shoujo, etc. is a demographic based on age and gender. This is purely based on in which magazine the manga runs. Since SKR runs in Young King iirc, it is labeled as a seinen manga.
Aside from that, the amount of graphic nudity and the gang theme don't really suit a younger audience.

I find it stupid that people would vote this as shounen. I mean in what shounen story does, a gang rape multiple women and own full red light districts? would a child under the age of 15 even understand what a red light district is? Is it normal for kids to stand up for hookers? do kids know hookers? yeah if you didn't read the like half the story or understand it your not mature enough to read this manga.

A kid (say, ages 10-14) that doesn't know what a hooker or the red light district is has lived a very sheltered life. I can say, for certain, that I knew about all that when I was around 10. And no, it's not normal for kids to stand up for hookers. The hooker's pimp would slap the shit out of a kid or at least run him off. If a kid knew a hooker, it's either their mom or they live in a shitty part of town. Strange questions...

How does it fail at being a seinen? Do you even read this manga? Pretty much all the content is mature, even quite a bit of the dialogue. And what difference would it make if this was labeled shounen or seinen? It doesn't affect the story whatsoever.

With that said, this is definitely a seinen. They show tits. Never seen a shounen with tits. No logical argument would work. Is there even an argument?

I wonder who even voted for shounen...
I've already forgotten I've posted here...

If you wonder why I think SKR has a Shounen feel, then you may want to know what types of Shounen manga and Seinen manga I have read.
Shounen: One Piece, Toriko, History Strongest Disicpline..., FMA, D-Gray Man, Air Gear and so on.
Seinen: Holyland, Vinland Saga, Real, Vagabond, Gantz, Working, Drifters, Shibatora and so on.

By no means this is an argument to prove my point, this is for you if you want to analyze.

It's pure seinen. There are tons of seinens that have no graphic content at all btw so it's a silly arguement- and this does.

IMO Sanctuary is one of the best Seinen manga that I have read. If you use it as an example SKR has very similar plot and art choices. Though the styles are vastly different.

not to rephrase Uller, but the genre is badass and I honestly don't know what else could be more seninen than this.

You can't compare Kenichi and Sun-Ken rock...While Kenichi is a pure shonen (Hue, he's the bad ones, he wants to kill everyone, but I'm the good one,and I'll protect everyone !!) SKR is a seinen ( Hue, the hero protect everyone, but the bad one want to protect his fellow too,so they are fighting for the sake of other)...OP,toriko,FMA,DGM and air gear doesn't have the same kind of story.

But for the seinen, I only read Gantz which is a sci fi seinen, and Vinland saga, and both doesn't have the same kind of story as SKR.

Btw,soz for my bad English, I read it well, but I suck when it starts to write it ;)
