first thing first it been a while since i seen this type of manga i mean the environment can be extremely large because of alien and galaxy so he can most likely make this very pretty long but minimum would be like some where around 100-200 if he wanna make it short also the protagonist is actually really cool and the artwork is also very nice looking so in short this manga will be really good and most of all WE NEED MOAR SCAN GOD DAMIT

You do realize that they are up to date with it? Also: The beginning of the story is not an hard part to entertain readers, the real challenge comes later on.

Its only the start of the series, and most likelly the author first series, even if the storyboard is good, it doesn't mean anything if the author can't use it right, wait at least it reaches chapter 30 to know if he has a potential.
Besides its normal to cancel the first release of a begginer, after all writing for a weekly magazine is much harder than a montly one.

You don't know him... he already had a weekly manga, Oumagadoki Doubutsuen, his first series with 37 chapters. It was good but not popular.
All I can say is that he got really better with his art and the history too. I hope it last long.

Hear that laughing? That's Kishimoto(Naruto) laughing on the way to the bank.

and most likelly the author first series,

Apparently, you haven't bothered checking works by the similar author by clicking on the name. Oumagadoki Doubutsuen is his first work.

This won't get passed chapter 23. It hasn't even got passed double digits yet it's already sinking in rankings and loosing popularity in Japan. The only deal breaker would be from when they released its first tankobon and it doesn't get passed 35,000 copies.

Omagadoki is his first weekly serial, not his actual first work. All authors' first works are oneshots. Don't know about Horikoshi's oneshot let alone its name, but you'll find it when you google his name though.

Sadly, your right. It is dead last right now.
Pity that, I like both Bulge and the second-to-last, Pajama na Kanojo.

Though you absolutely must explain to me why it's gonna end at chapter 23.

I based it on a possible two cancellation meet survival and as the first of two to get axed during that meet. However I'm not that sure right now. The time I made that estimation was when it's still sinking, but now it fully sunk. Also, I don't read Bulge anymore so I can't say for sure, but it'll likely end before it even get past 17 or at most 20.

I wish the author would stop trying to write for Jump. I love his artwork and I don't think his stories are bad at all, but he's obviously not going to get anywhere in Jump. He's not cut for this kind of magazine :/

He only got famous because he wrote in Jump. That's the big upside for writing in Jump; you will become famous fast. The downside is when your series isn't a hit it'll get canned quickly to make room for more rookie authors and potential hit series. Why won't he leave Jump even when he already got famous? Because of the contract with Shueisha and probably WSJ exclusively.

Well Shueisha can change the contract if they want, but only under extreme circumstances, it would be better if had applied to different company, Shueisha itself is very demanding with their authors.
The real problem is to wait the contract with Shueisha to die which is around 3 years.

If he had applied to a different publisher then you, me, everybody, probably wouldn't know him and his work wouldn't be even half as famous as it is. All this hype is kind of misled because of the alpha licensing; all authors have potential, this guy's not the only one.
