Yeah, very true that the chapters are short. I don't know of any other manga/manhwa of this type (genres) that is comparable.

It's not entirely unheard of for other types though........I've got a number of comedy titles that I follow (regular and 4 koma) that are comparable or even shorter........half the length even, of Minamoto-kun chapters. It's not as big of a deal with those though, they're mainly one-liner and tsukkomi/boke type humor anyway. In the case of this title though, it sure would be nice if the chapters were at least the normal weekly release length of 18 to 20 pages or so.

Who cares if it's all about sex? I read mangas because I like them, not because they have a great storyline. Of course, the storyline helps me enjoy the manga, but in the end all I care about is my enjoyment and nothing more because even if a manga doesn't have a storyline it doesn't mean that it is bad.

As I stated before, I read manga for enjoyment. So, I think that these short chapters just make us want more... isn't the manga going to lose some "taste" by getting larger chapters?

I thought that this topic is for posting fan made drawings of Minamoto-kun Monogatari... I guess it's not. LOL

Actually, did anyone think of the same? (Now, I'm up for drawing something like "H" of this... Phew)

Well, I think the art is okay, but nothing spectacular.

I find that the joints are somewhat poorly drawn, like the neck, wrist, elbow, shoulder etc.

(I'm not knocking on the mangaka, as I know full well how hard it is to draw properly paneled strips, let alone a serialized manga. Just stating my opinion here)

Taking these two points together, what I infer is that while the mangaka's art is not very technically accurate, it is still very visually appealing due to its distortion of proportions that tend to be sexually appealing. Personally, I think it's great!

Hah! I guess I didn't really think that, but it's probably just because I can't draw a lick. :D

Though it'd be great if someone did do some fanart of this title, but it'd probably be best in the Artsy Corner/Graphix section of the forums..........I certainly know I'd go to look.

Who cares about the story? This is hotness!

It kind of makes me wish that the artist found a better story to tell. This has the foundations of a good story, but short, short chapters and a premise hardwired for fanservice makes it, at best, a slightly-creepy but no-punches-pulled Echhi Harem manga. This is the kind of manga that makes the lines between Manga and Ero-manga kind of blurred. One big thing i think the author is at one point, and can do to turn this back around, is to know your fanservice. The story-line is a mix between 2 parts shounen and 20 parts Shoujou. The plot sets up for a lot of romances, the thrill of new loves, and discovering the opposite sex. It just so happens that the opposite sex is extremely buxom ladies, with some partial nudity and heavy focus on the female body. Its so girly in the story but obviously meant for men that most of the guys here are just waiting for the art of when he finally does get laid, and reading into the 'Story' just as much as to tell how possible it is Terumi will have sex next chapter. Meanwhile, Shoujou fans could be very interested in this story of psychological complexes, first loves, the exploration of sex with a little dab of history in the middle. Now, if the author were to give them at least SOME eye candy then we could all say fuck it- For the Sex or for the Excerpts - this manga would have something for anyone. Girls like eye candy just as much as guys, sometimes even more. Im not saying throw in a couple of Yaoi scenes - that would chase off the male portion of the market, the lion's share. But just to give the girls a sexy protagonist, or have his friend get somehow more handsome. Even just a recurring role. They couldn't have given the Shoujo fans a bigger shaft - giving them a protagonist that is supposedly prettier than they are and scores with women way hotter than he should or they are (Possibly)

Basically, instead of making this a guilty pleasure that has an amazing, gorgeous art of plenty and plenty and plenty of boob, we could just have this be everyone's 'out there' ecchi manga that both sexes enjoy if they just threw in a set of abs or a fit guy every now and then. then the protagonists can continue to be small-eyed sex-crazed japanese dorks that like to keep it in the family. Why not make it fun for everyone, when right now its just, well...now its just like a pregame show for hentai or that bookmark deliberately named something like 'Awesome Recipes.'

(for clarity's sake, I'm a girl)
I have to disagree majorly with you on this one. I absolutely love this manga! Yes the chapters are short and it's okay for me to wait a bit to read more at once. It's actually a plus that the protagonist is "prettier than some girls". Most ecchi or just plain romantic shounen series feature godawful ugly male protagonist, and it's even stated that he's the last loser in the entire school, stupid, cowardly (not cutely shy), inexperienced, helplessly perverted, has stalking tendensies and many other shortcomings. This one got balls! He's a proactive attacker, he's cute, and his sexual frustration makes him hot.

I also don't mind at all those pretty girls, they're nice to look at and are all likeable. It's not a boobfest like some series where ALL girls have size C+ boobs. The Cougar has modest chest and he even states that it's no problem (I wish all guys in all shounen manga said that rather than only oogle the giant melons).

So this manga does not make me insecure, and it does not feature a male protagonist I would never in a wildest dream even want to be near, but it does excite and show a story both genders can appreciate in an ecchi manga. An exciting harem which introduces females one by one and spends time on each one's character, rather than throw them all at once at you where you're lost in a multitude of faces (and don't really care about most of them) as it always happens in classical harem. It also only shows ecchi tastefully and where it belongs -- in the bedroom with occasional panty shot. Other ecchi are sometimes annoying about showing pantyflashes and showing of skin in every chapter and at close-ups.

I may sound romantic here but chest size does't matter, what matter most is what's under it.... and behind those pair of eyes. I'm tempted to see men who like big boobs as either being weaned too early or haven't being breast feed as a baby.

Very much agree with that. The art is clean, elegant, and an easy read which perfectly fits the genre. The disproportion makes the characters what they are, the curve lines he makes in the front of the neck always points to the chest which inadvertently make it more noticable and thus sexually appealing.

"She"........the author/artist is a woman according to mangaupdates. And yeah, very nice artwork :)

I just want to clarify for all those people bashing the plot of this manga, the story is based on " The Tale of Genji ". It was written in the Heian  period and in the actual story there is no plot.( don't expect any character development cause there was none) also the story was based on Prince Genji's many sexual escapades with what seems to be random women. other than women that remind him of his mother.(which explains all the sex) Anyway, the art.... I love it. I also love how the mangaka is a girl. Cause terumi is just so awesome. I think terumi will be conquering more dude's while he's cross dressing cause that had to be the most moe. I'm a dude and I LOVED seeing terumi steal conquer another dude lol

p.S whose not reading this for the sex?

Sex? What sex? I like the awesome adventures he has and those unexpected twists. But the art truly is awesome. If someone has to look cute, they do look cute, and if someone has to look sexy then they look sexy. Not a huge manga reader, so can't say if that's unusual , but from the ones I've read/am reading this ones style really tells a lot.
