Seems like it's actually better now: comic is listed as new after an update. You can clear "new" status (re-)opening latest chapter 12+ hrs after release.

Stilll broken on the new follows list, only now the userscript doesn't work anymore either so it's even worse.

There are no "new" signs on the new follows list at all, so I don't know what's supposed to be broken there.Stilll broken on the new follows list, only now the userscript doesn't work anymore either so it's even worse.
For the old follows when I've actually read the chapter and some time has passed it's not listed as new for me anymore.

Are you sure you have that "userscript" disabled completely?
Ok fair enough, but it's still broken on the old follows by comic which I prefer to use because A. the new page doesn't have icons, I can't remember what manga is what by title; B. it doesn't tell me what chapter I last read; and C. it's very ugly with the mess in the middle and the same stuff repeated on the bottom as the top portion.

For comics where I actually read the lated chapter there aren't any new signs for me anymore on the old follows page. And the really recent things (last ~20 hours) things act as described by Genda1ph:

And once again I'm wondering if I'm looking at the same list when you talk about the new one. I don't know what you mean by "mess in the middle", and also don't know what you mean by "same stuff repeated below". I do agree that thumbnails look pretty but would make the list twice as long.
The little (i) like on the homepage would be my favorite.

Yea it still doesn't work. How does it detect the status? What do I have to do? Sometimes manga get unlisted, but I've got many on new that aren't, at least in english.

How it's been behaving for me: The last release needed to be like 20 hours old at least. Then open the latest chapter and the "new" disappeared after a refresh of the follows page
