A simple, sometimes crudely drawn, but still powerful story, evocative of his later masterpieces. To see the city of Pejite named before Nausicaa! Miyazaki wrote this as a young animator at Toei Douga, many years before he began work on the Nausicaa manga, and long before he worked on his first animated features. Kudos to the scanlators for bringing this to English language audiences.
